    Long live Southeastern.

Sorry mate, there's not a lot of room. Will try not to get an erection.
  • I'm on same one as you Suzi. Squeezed like a sardine and I just loudly farted just before Hither Green

We normally get on Greenwich line. Yesterday bus to Northgreenwich. Home via Boat. Today using DLR (after nice walk through park) to bank. At least we have lots of options and the weather is good no thanks to SE

I do love how they advise to 'travel after 0930'. Yes I'm sure London will appreciate its workforce starting at 1100. Fuck it, give everyone half day.

It's laughable mate, they haven't got a clue.

It's always good when the SE boys get into work late and sweating whereas those from Essex get air conditioned trains that run like clockwork.

It is for one week only snd they have been advising for months this would happen. I'm sure no one would hsve thought it would go any other way than crap so I'm not surprised.

at least for 18 months the Cannon St trains won't stop at LB so should be emptier and slightly quicker

it'll be busier than the Charring cross trains were when not stopping at LDN bridge as people can still walk over the bridge which wasnt the case if getting off a waterloo east

Oh.FFS!!! Got the 0815 dartford to Charing Cross on the Greenwich line for a change. Pleasantly quiet. Pace to Blackheath could most creditably be described as "meandering". Lino to lewisham and now diverted to Victoria, arrival time Unknown. This is just pitiful now. I'm working at home for the rest of the week. Fuck it.

They just done this to my train as well from Bexleyheath line. I can't even be bothered to change, just gonna take a slow walk across town.

Got on the 7:59 from Bexley, second day in a row the heating is on. Points failure at Lee yesterday, now points failure at Lewisham.

Finally rock into London Bridge at 8:55. Train driver then announces someone has been taken ill.

Heating on + Packed in like sardines = someone fainting.

    No shit Sherlock

I'm normally on the train you're on mate. Please don't take it the wrong way if I'm a teensy bit relieved that my alternative choice this morning wasn't a total bummer. About to do that slow walk you suggest.

Cycle to work scheme guys. Did it last year after being fed up with Southeastern and don't regret it at all. May change my mind once flattened by a HGV but so far so good.

Yeah I am the same, best change I've made even though cycling through Lewisham and New Cross can be a bit hairy at times.

It would take me 3hours 15 to cycle the 34 miles from chatham to Westminster. I'll give that a miss...

I got the 9.07 from New Eltham. Rolls in 20 minutes late and still haven't even made it to Hither Green. Have been sat it the same place for the last 5 minutes whilst the driver whispers something that nobody can hear.

Still, have been watching two squirrels chase each other round a tree, which is nice. Glad to see someone having fun. Hope he gets his nuts in.

Agreed - used to laugh when people suggested riding to work but now I actually look forward to getting up and on the bike each morning. Injured at the moment so back using the train. Can't say I've missed it.

Squirrel watch update: I'm still in the same place 10 minutes later but the squirrels have gone.

Don't get your hopes up. The 8.30 from Elmstead Woods hasn't reached London Bridge yet.

Don't particularly fancy cycling up the m2 either to be honest.
