You have to bring the second sub on before the lastsammy391 said:So much for 'academy' day... Didn hear any reference to it at all!
Questions have to be asked of Slade, 2-1 with 5 mins extra time Why not bring your last sub on?
Pacey winger in botaka or even anoth lump in Lennon/Bauer ...
Strange!8 -
Depressing. We got what we deserved- nothing . We desperately needed a second goal to kill the game off but with Ajose up front that wasn't going to happen and it was only a matter of time until Wimbledon scored.
I didn't expect them to get a winner though.
Lookman was sublime in the first half but he was anonymous in the last half hour and I watched him as he almost gave up.
Complacency killed us .

What the fuck was up with the booing
No fight it would have been bloody 5-0 had their 'keeper not made save after save... Magennis, Holmes countless times and Lookman... then you had Pearce and Fox making countless tackles and blocks!!!
If you're referring to my post with regards to "no fight" I made it clear that I was talking about from the time of their equaliser to the end.ForeverAddickted said:What the fuck was up with the booing

We were pretty good before but then just fell apart. There was no effort in that closing period.1 -
I fucking booed, I'm not going to stand and clap and let the players think that losing 2-1 to a team of that standard is acceptable. Wimbledon were shit and that result is an absolute disgrace.ForeverAddickted said:What the fuck was up with the booing

Too many people at our club are just happy to plod along, no doubt some will think this result is unlucky just like they thought a point was well earned against Fleetwood. We are utter dogshit and that bald twat Slade is starting to show why he's never won a promotion.
Doubt I'll bother with Millwall now, if we don't have enough about us to finish off a team like that, what chance have we got at the den?

Half and hour to go and we decide to sit and defend the 18 yard box, hoofing long balls towards Magennis... No fight, no passion... Utter shite. Manager needs to look at himself for this one...1

Sounds like mid table will be an achivement not mediocrityBigRedEvil said:Mid table mediocrity for us this season. Our midfield isn't good enough and that can't change until January.
If I was Slade I'd have Novak starting. And Bauer and Tex or even Lennon in defence1 -
The silliest thing about this 'tweet' is that there we no protests at Bury (lost), Cheltenham (lost), Fleetwood (drew), today the 'protest' ,if you can call it that, was wearing black and white.guinnessaddick said:
I'll just leave this here.
Unfookingbelievable
So this season so far, in all comps, we have won 2, drawn 4 and lost 3. That is not down to protests its down to not having a good enough squad - simple really.20 -
How big was the protest today?0

Ajose needs to drop to the bench for a bit so we have 11 men on the field and then we will be able to win games. Put Lookman up front instead and bring Bokata into the starting 11.15
-
Another terrible result. We have no chance of getting anywhere near the top six if we keep slipping up to teams we should be beating. Lost to Bury and now AFC Wimbledon and dropped points against Northampton. Not good enough.1

Give it time - "Be patient" - and I suspect another might not be too far away. Unfortunately.pilchard said:Another new all time low.
The sad thing, for me, is that I barely felt any emotion as Jeff Stelling announced there'd been another goal at The Valley. I've already seen that film.8 -
Ive posted long ago that i stopped going to the valley whilst this mob are running the club so i cant comment on how we played. Just wanted to say that as a supporter you will know your self when its rock bottom and you can no longer go and support. A bit like a drug addict knows when to knock it on the head and say no more0

A bit of perspective? We played well for most of that. Our midfield was especially pleasing. We wiped the floor with them for 75 minutes, then a good bit of skill and some shit defending from Solly and it's 1-1, at which point we have another bad couple of minutes culminating in the best cross of the game. It could easily have been 3-0 to us; Wimbledon got extremely lucky and yet the narrative has set in already - we're shit, everything's shit, boooooooooo. Play like that and we'll win more often than we lose. The only real criticism of Slade is that he didn't introduce Botaka; that aside I don't see how he could have done much more.
That said, it's time to get Bauer in.34 -
Not taking your chances is playing badly as well - not unlucky.10

We must be the unluckiest team around then, what with all these shite results these past few years.Leuth said:A bit of perspective? We played well for most of that. Today wasn't like a lot of defeats I've seen. We dominated the game, for one, and our midfield looked competent, for two.4

I can't for the life of me fathom why those of you that work hard throughout the week give up your premium time to watch this utter clustetf***K of an organisation???2

Just not good enough, still can't believe it, didn't see that result coming0

Yeah, this bloody narrative. The 'people being upset when Charlton lose' narrative. So trite. So passe. Ugh.Leuth said:A bit of perspective? We played well for most of that. If Charlton create enough chances to win 50 times over but lose then they've had a bad day. We've lost to a team we should be beating. All this bullshit about how if it wasn't for the bit where we defended terribly and let them score we would have won is just that. It's not perspective.17 -
Fucking abysmal. ....those who chose to stay away good desicion1

I'm not disputing that they had a bad day. I'm disputing the ravening hordes on this thread writing off this team.Garrymanilow said:

Dunno what was said at HT but we were so in control in the first half it was embarrassing...if it were a boxing match it would've been stopped
Cue HT and they obviously had something in their tea cause we were dogshit in the 2nd half, absolutely clueless
Can't explain that one1 -
If, if, if.
Haven't we had enough of that little word yet? Don't remember it cropping up very often the season we last got out of this league under Powell but heard it frequently enough in the five or six before that.
Right up there with "we're still fifth".5 -
I thought we played well right up until the equaliser - we kept creating chances and dominating play. Then we lost the plot a bit.Elthamaddick said:Dunno what was said at HT but we were so in control in the first half it was embarrassing...if it were a boxing match it would've been stopped

Richard Cawley ...
Russ Slade been in. Felt that not killing game off left door open for #afcw fightback. #cafc4 -
Nothing attracts players like money ££££Atletico Addick said:We just lost to a team formed 14 years ago, in League One at the Valley. Love this new era!
Slade's a likeable old fashioned football bloke, but let's be honest, regardless of our situation we should be attracting better than him - the fact he took the job in the first place speaks leaps and boundaries. Understandable he's got his hands tied but he knew he would, 60 seconds of research before he took the job would tell him he would have a tough job.
It's poisonous down at SE7 and will be until the owners go, Club's are more than just the team on the pitch and AFC Wimbledon are showing that - results like this today for them, well earned from continuous hard work off the pitch.0 -
Cawley again
Pointed out #afcw had two chances which took. Says had told #cafc they needed to be ruthless and efficient before the match.0 -
Wankers!1
