    Jock Referendum
    UK Election
    European Referendum
    US Election...

    The silent MAJORITY in action.

And still you blowhards will not get it!

Hmmm? Is it the 'blowhards' who don't get it or the 'silent majority'?

Funny how Trump suddenly looked more grey and less orange at his acceptance speech. Almost as though he was changing roles from the bigoted moron it took to get elected to (hopefully) a statesman persona.

People are sick of establishment politics and I don't blame them. It's why Corbyn is where he is.

Such a holier than thou attitude in majority of your posts.

Result didn't go your way - again.
Let's call everyone with a different point of view stupid.

Maybe there will be petition you can sign to ask for a re-run of the election.

That's right, Leuth. You should realise that you lost the vote, so you're not allowed an opinion. That's how democracy works, remember?
That goes for you an all Chizzo
    And you, thankfully.

    Well, Trump won.
I haven't seen his most recent speech but I suspect the rhetoric will diminish in tone towards a rather more conciliatory nature to a point.
Democracy may have been served, but I think the concerning thing about his campaign has been the blatant and persistent use of outlandish claims without any need for supporting evidence, the demonising of certain sections of the community in a simplistic populist package, short on content or basic human decency.
It sets an alarming precedent and paves the way for more of the same and possibly worse later on.
That's the view from rainy Maidstone anyway.

In a year of shocks, I'm starting to believe Charlton will now win at Milllwall...
  • So why are we getting surprise (to many) results. I thought it could well happen. The wife thought I was speaking rubbish. Why's it going the other way to what some on here were sure would happen?

I'll tell you why, because huge amounts of people hold opposing views to you, but you speak intellectually and can put your point across well and you speak with such a condescending and patronising nature, that is it any wonder people are slow In coming forward with their true (opposing) views?

For what's it's worth I'm neither Americam or live out there so don't consider I know or feel nearly enough to contribute to the debate on here.

I think it was Greenie a while back who said every Anerican he knows was voting Trump. Now rather than contemplate the effect of that being extrapolated across the country, you could almost hear the collective thought of many being along the lines of "oh what a surprise, his friends are racist like him too - they will be a big minority, how could they possibly not be".

Just like Brexit - not a surprise.

Nope, gonna stick by the advice a wise old man once gave me, have your own thoughts and beliefs but don't get involved in political or religious debates.

Good entertainment though, carry on everybody.

  • It's not even close at the end of it all. He's won by loads, that map is all red. It's only her winning California which accounted for 55 of her 218 so far that's made it even slightly respectable.

Conclusion - the Americans haven't voted for Trump. They've voted against Clinton.
  • What a load of tosh! USA have lost their minds the most powerful man in the world is a racist.

His son, Barron, doesn't look bored by the whole event does he?

I can see him thinking "Oh Dad get on with it - I've got a Mortal Kombat game waiting for me". And Trump thinking much the same.

He's got an online challenge match with Thomas Driesden when the unqualified Belgian gets out of bed later this morning.

Telegraph article placing the blame at Obamas door, just like they blamed Bush for Obamas victory.....
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/09/how-eight-years-of-barack-obama-created-donald-trump/

    Extract

Barack Obama created neither the poverty, nor the suspicion and loathing with which America was regarded in the world after George W Bush. However, he promised to cure the first, and has been found wanting; and he has used the second as an excuse to do nothing except withdraw. His role as President is now little more than as a spokesman for the bleeding heart and the bleeding obvious. When he is gone no one will miss him, least of all the one-time allies who feel he has spurned them. He has made America much less relevant.

Since George H.W. Bush left office in 1993 America has been ruled by a spin-obsessed sex addict, a dangerous halfwit and a clever incompetent. They all bore the imprimatur of their respective party machines. For much of America, Barack Obama is the last straw. He is the creator of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. If one of them becomes president and the world doesn’t like it, they know whom to blame.

Well isn't this just so f*cking hilarious. Looks like some of you should have studied the evidence about the Clinton Foundation that I posted earlier (and was subsequently proved to be true by Wikileaks), instead you continued to believe the crooked, biased leftist media, the crooked, biased Polls and your Twitter feeds, where the likes of Leuth seems to get all his information lol.
The game is now up for you Marxists and leftists. You have infected academia, the media and the Hollywood set. Your social engineering ideals have brought the Western World and western culture to the edge of destruction. Your brand of PC, Identity politics has caused terrible devision, animosity, and left huge numbers of people afraid to even open their mouths for fear of being labelled "racist, xenophobic, homophobic" etc, simply because they want secure borders, safety for their families, jobs, or even because they simply believe in the traditional definition of marriage.
Well, the silent majority has now spoken. First with Brexit, now Trump, and next watch for France and Germany to go exactly the same way.
Seriously though, how out of is the media these day's? How out of touch is CL?Where are all the conservatives? (Too frightened to speak out probably for fear of being labelled a Jimmy Savile sympathiser or a bigot, as I have been on this thread!) The mainstream media and Charlton Life are certainly not representative of the majority are they ( Trump is winning the popular vote as well BTW). 65 pages here of overwhelmingly anti Trump sentiment, and yet the majority of Americans voted for him, very strange!
Suck it up all you Lefties, this is where the kick back begins, you got so far but ultimately you failed, just as socialism always fails, but not before it has caused immeasurable damage. Mwahahhahaaahaah!
