If Yann Kermogant paid for the pitch - RD should've got the boiler.5

Cheers canters don't you worry about my train farecantersaddick said:Call it off... call it off. Should be able to get some players fit by next week. Bauer back at a minimum. Possibly Lennon as well. And Holmes, Novak and Watt a weeks extra training so I'd feel much more confident...

Only at Charlton. Undersoil heating pipework. No boiler. No game. Got to laugh2

what a joke0

Absolutely hilarious! This is the epitomy of what Roland is to our Club, not a care for the first teams or the fans.8

I guess the logic was that undersoil heating is now compulsory for the PL(?), or massively important with the amount paid for televised games, so that it made sense to install the pipes in advance so that when we reached the PL (ha ha) we wouldn't have to dig the pitch up again...0

My understanding is that the heating was laid taking advantage of the pitch being dug up completely and drainage put in. It is a requirement in the premier league and it made sense to put it in then as digging it all is the major expense. It has never been the intention to have it up and running until we get there.
That makes total sense to me. We do not get the crowds or Sky to justify the expense.12 -
Awful. Just looked at now going welling vs dart ford and that has been called off0

Scunny fans would have already set off as well.3

Surely our multi millionaire owner could afford it, particularly with all the Kermorgant, Gomez, Lookman, JBG, Fox money burning a hole in his pocket.Redrobo said:My understanding is that the heating was laid taking advantage of the pitch being dug up completely and drainage put in. Surely we could have afforded it in our Premier League years?Valley11 said:Redrobo said:My understanding is that the heating was laid taking advantage of the pitch being dug up completely and drainage put in. We're a competitive undersoil pipes club with connected boiler ambitions.76

Probably left the covers off to get it postponed due to the injuries now we have a cunning Scouser as manager.5

Trains are messed up was gonna take an hour to get there0

How fucking pathetic. All the pipework laid with self gratulatory fanfare, yet connected to feck all.
Disney should buy this Mickey Mouse outfit.4 -

Yes, rather than getting in a replacement for Josh, we're just going to play no matches until he's fit againRedvaliant said:Probably left the covers off to get it postponed due to the injuries now we have a cunning Scouser as manager.

Amazing. So a couple of years ago, while we were all still trying to see the possible good in Roland's little project, we brought in a load of shite players, sacked Powell and barely survived when with the right investment we would have pulled away easily. On the plus side though, we got the Yann Kermorgant Memorial Pitch, and we all said that at least the infrastructure shitshow that we'd had under Slater and Jiminez was over. Fast forward to the present day, the training ground development is still a myth and we're still having matches called off, this time because we don't have a boiler for our undersoil heating. We are an outstanding football club46

What a shambles , nearly five hours of sun would make it playable surely . F*** Off Roland by the way .0
