More shit heaped on the fans and the players by that awful woman. How I detest her.0

Welcome!Worthingred said:My very first post after following all the comments on here over the past few years. A shame that the fans yet again suffer at the hands of total incompetence and regrettebly the only decision they could make. Incedibly petty and it just gave me that nudge to register here and add my support. Let's get them out
How this works right. Every time you see a post of mine you have to either like or lol it!
Got it!?8 -
Disappointing, was expecting more.killerjerrylee said:I have read with interest the comments following my original post yesterday evening. I am very appreciative of the support from just about everyone but would like to correct a couple of points as I am anxious that this sorry incident be correctly reported and do not want to be unfair to anyone.
On 7th February Fanny was angry about the fact that the club had blocked our original plans for the POTY and fired off an email intended for me but mistakenly sent it to a member of the club staff. As a result of this email, I was first told that we could go ahead with the Dinner but that she could not be involved in the organisation. This was later amended whereby she could now be involved, but must not communicate directly with any of the club staff as she had been so
disrespectful to them. It was this decision and nothing else which forced us to cancel the whole event.
Some people are implying that the fact that neither Fanny nor Marilyn are now members of the Fans Forum had a bearing on this matter. It did not come up at any stage and as I represent Bromley Addicks on the Fans Forum, it was always intended that I would front it up and the other two would have been co-opted to work with me.
You are probably wondering why Fanny has been quiet this last 24 hours. I have just heard from her and she confirmed that she is safe and well and has not been kidnapped by the club. She has agreed for the world to now know what appeared in the offensive email, so I am happy to repost below the relevant section. All children and people of a nervous disposition should look away at this point.
The first part of the email was perfectly harmless. I reproduce below the full and uncensored final paragraph, exactly as it was written.
'I'd like to know your thoughts before you attend tomorrow's OTHER meeting.......Why haven't THAT lot got their house in order at this late stage? Because they could not organise a p*ss up in a brewery is the right answer, and as far as I'd be concerned, I wouldn't have anything to do with the Anniv event. Too little too late. but I respect your views on this, of course.'
Pretty racy stuff, you are thinking. Is it sufficient to bring about the cancellation of the POTY though ? I wonder.7 -
Blimey, talk about hyper-sensitive !
In any event, how can it be disrespectful when it's true (although I appreciate that the truth can sometimes hurt).3 -
My goodness! Somebody actually articulates what we are all thinking and they have proven is true time after time... how awful for them! The truth hurts, as they say.
Thanks, Ian for further clarification and so sorry for all the stress this has caused Jean, you and Marilyn.6 -
Is that it? Christ sake - what another unbelievable own goal from the club.
Just for the avoidance of doubt - I also do not believe they could organise a piss up in a brewery, but it's hardly scandalous stuff is it?10 -
wow, just wow1
-
Oh so petty and unnecessary.
The squirrel needs to grow up.0 -
Charlton live discussing this now...0
-
Blimey. Nothing worth a reaction in that email. Someone's too sensitive for their job.1

Thanks for giving us an insight killer. I've read many of Fanny's CL posts and never remember her using either explict words, so not surprised by the contents. Left baffled and disgusted by the actions of the club.
We should make a protest against this before the season ends. I'm sure one of our great supporters can come with something humorous to get media interest.0 -
Is there a part 2 of the email that explains the disrespect shown by FF?7
-
I think if Fanny had used the phrase 'leaving do in a hotel' it wouldn't have made the slightest difference to Nightmeire's vindictive and spiteful reaction.
Correct decesion to cancel IMO and to the three organisers, don't let the baskets get you down.
We were here before the regime started to dismantle the fabric of the club and will be long after they've gone.1 -
I hope I'm never in the wrong side of Fanny after reading that foul-mouthed tirade! Crikey, what language.

Surprised no one has picked up on the irony of the situation... Fanny sent ONE email to the wrong person, instantly sacked in what was a pathetic reaction from KM
On the other hand KM has come out countless rubbish and lies in THREE years yet has remained in her position the whole time!!11 -
It would be good if a POTY do could be arranged by the regular organisers somewhere else. I know the club would not let the players attend, and seeing how this season has progressed and how some of the players have let us down, perhaps not a bad thing. The fans could still have a good night and still elect their POTY and Young POTY, if the players would like to accept the awards some other arrangements could be made to present them surely, or would the idiots at the club stop that as well?3
-
Disgusting abuse and vile insults that fully justify the club's actions.
No, I cant see it either0 -
When Fanny says they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, I don't think it's accurate to be fair.
They couldn't even find there way to the brewery in the first place6 -
Cant stop them from going out for a "team dinner" though can they?ross1 said:It would be good if a POTY do could be arranged by the regular organisers somewhere else. If they are that sensitive, they are in the wrong job. Actually, they are in the wrong job - period. I've never met Fanny, but always enjoy reading her posts and, more often than not, find myself agreeing with her. Fanny, you are so right, they couldn't run a piss up in a brewery, and they certainly can't run our football club. Run it down - yes. Run it - no way Pedro, as Del-Boy would say.1

Wouldn't be surprised if a POTY does go ahead being club run and obviously with their adaptations!

I suspect Fanny has been in the regime's "sights" ever since the Taxi for Roland. They have just been waiting for an excuse, however weak.
Further proof, if any was needed, that they really do not like the protests being taken to their Belgian doorstep.
Also further proof that Flemish lacks an equivalent expression to "cutting off your nose to spite your face". A particular problem when the noses in question are long, and ever growing.
My congratulations to all concerned for standing firm and dignified in the face of this situation.11 -
Is this the first recorded case of de cloob responding to a supporter email?36
-
Stupid schoolgirl behaviour from a CEO of a professional club.
I'm with Fanny.

In view of recent winners ie Poyet and Cousins any chance of amending out-dated voting procedure so we're more likely to get a deserved recipient for the accolade. Morrison and Gudmunsson far superior by-passed as we lemming like invariably vote 'for one our own'.
