Not a great result. Again.
The New Year off to a poor start, points wise. Let’s hope that off pitch matters resolve themselves in our favour and we have the chance to stabilise the ship a little.
Over to you.

I said Robinson has until after the Oldham game and I stick with that.
Play two up front and give it a go like the second half here. Or play like the first half and get fucked. Your choice KR15 -
Is it a truth universally acknowledged that teams about to be sold perform like shit?1

We're on a shit run but that aside why are we so completely abject in any game that has a bit of extra meaning for the fans.1

Couldn’t make it today which sounds like a lucky escape
Will be there on Saturday hopefully we will have 3 new players and a new owner..
Terrible terrible result, it’s a sad state of affairs when the likes of Southend and Gillingham are battering us1 -
Fucked twice by Gypos.

Nothing to say really is there? Typical New Year Charlton performance and on top of the feelings towards the current regime we are served up our usual dose of angst, loathing and in-fighting.

Does anyone know the price of that half year season ticket ?7

Three points from twenty-four and an F A Cup defeat in the last nine games. No Chief Exec, no Finance Director, a want-away Chairman/Owner and a side playing with no confidence or ambition. It's relegation form I tell thee. Just sell the fucking club you old scrote.34

Forster-Caskey and Best now injured again, Best one looks bad says Karl Robinson @BBCLondonSport #cafc

Gillingham have done the double over us.
Let that sink in.
And then weep at how low we've sunk.26 - Sponsored links:

One positive note we are still ninth a few wins and we are back in playoff hunt all hope is not lost yet.24

Watched the stream. Like so many games this season the football looks nice but we don't create enough and miss most of the chances we do create. As I've said before defending isn't good enough to make up for our lack of goals.
Regularly read that Magennis isn't good enough but the same can be said about others as well. Neither Marshall or Reeves have been the players we hoped for to name two.3 -
At least we have a big cup game to look forward to on the weekend - take our minds off this dismal league run.
Haven’t we?1 -
Hasn’t Leon Best’s contract ended now?Redmidland said:Forster-Caskey and Best now injured again, Best one looks bad says Karl Robinson @BBCLondonSport #cafc

A tale of two halves. The first half we were truly abysmal, especially at the back. I thought Sarr was woeful first half, marginally better second. He just looks slow and overweight to me.
Second half we were a lot better and if we could have got the early goal it could have been a different story. As it was Best was looking sharp and then got injured. You just couldn't make that up.
Generally we huffed and puffed for most of the game. I blame Robbo for not changing things in the first half. He should have sorted the centre backs out within 5 minutes of the start. It was obvious they were all over the place. Even I could see that.
Not a good day at the office. I'm in two minds about Robbo and whether he should stay. I like his passion and commitment to the club and fans but I'm really not too sure about his technical ability.
We were also crying out for a leader out there today. That has been lacking all season and hasn't been addressed in my opinion. I think Robbo has missed that one.
The sooner we can get this takeover done the better so we can start moving forward. As a club we're just so stagnant and going absolutely nowhere.

Marshall put in so many great balls in the second half. He certainly lived up to expectations today.15

Robinson - “First half we were poor. Defensively, we looked weak” @BBCLondonSport #cafc0

Best and JFC injured again. Why does he continue to rush players back? Did same with Holmes and Marshall in recent weeks and then does it with JFC today. Dropping Aribo and KAG was not fair based on recent performances from those two. Maginnis shouldn't be in that team3

Very poor, two of the easiest goals we will ever concede. Looking very worrying and its difficult to take many positive after that defeat.

Robinson says loan signing close - player can play as a striker, behind or wide.
Robinson reckons the potential signing is "a good player, proven at this level - he will excite people." #cafc5 -
Without some fresh players were buggered, as it is unlikely that any euros will be flying in from Belgium, ergo we are officially buggered.0

Terrific performance...well done to all the players for only losing 2-1...3

So is mavidi. Not going to save the season is he1

Bored.
Bored with watching the same formation fail to spark, bored with watching players misplace passes, fail to do the basics when defending and take 10 touches when 1 will do.
I’ve never taken to Robinson and am increasingly thinking this is just a repeat of his time at MK Dons. Starts ok, falls apart and has no idea how to address it.
The problems are much wider than Tarbuck and his team which can’t defend and does not look like scoring for 90% of most games they play.
To me Meire and Joyes leaving is a red herring, we’d have signed no-one in this window and you can be sure as hell we’ll do little to no business now they have gone.
This is an absolutely appalling division and at present we look a candidate for the worst team in it. From top to bottom on and off the pitch we are a total mess. Takeover can’t come soon enough, fear its too late for this season and am concerned it will actually take years to rebuild the mess Meire and her cronies have made.30 -
