That quote from Murray is not consistent with Redhenry’s version that the parties have not agreed to pay the price. I don’t think RH is setting out to mislead anyone - if you get your information from only one place it will inevitably reflect that party’s understanding and not that of others. It’s all useful information.
I do think there may be scepticism on RD’s part about whether payment will be forthcoming in practice, which would help explain two parties being involved at this stage, but It’s highly unlikely they haven’t indicated a willingness to pay it based on what the club is saying. Murray would stand to look ridiculous if that was the case and he has no incentive to put himself in that situation.

I’m reassured by Airman but perhaps it’s because we have never been in the position of having had confirmed that two buyers are progressing their bids to being finalised with their prospective lawyers.
Not the first time this has been suggested and would fit the bill as not only is he particularly pissed off with what's going on at Arsenal, he can get hold of a load of Red & White scarves on the cheap.

Perhaps a price has been agreed with whatever number of people, that's easy enough but Roland wants go see the colour of their money. I can agree with the Louvre the price of the Mona Lisa (including the frame) but they don't let me carry it away until I pay. Roland can agree to sell Charlton for 60 million with a thousand people for all the real difference it is making. I really struggle to see what was achieved by the statement yesterday.

I have some clarity on the situation. Price had been agreed with two parties ie the price that will get the deal over the line. But neither party has met this.

So, RD is sitting tight while two parties are seeing if they can get close enough to the "agreed" price at which point they are hoping RD will shake on it. But @Redhenry's super rich and well known (not sure if it's the person, business or both that are well known) investor is playing a waiting game to gazump the price. RD also wants this to happen as it guarantees him the best deal from someone he knows is best-positioned to fund progress for the club and get him his bonuses.

My revised offer to purchase the Club made directly to RD and MdR is still on the table.
All I need is the go ahead for me to instruct my lawyer (retd).
I believe RD is playing a waiting game and trying to use the two parties to get the best deal. Murrays statement yesterday would back that view up.
Nobody is going to pay anywhere near RD's original asking price. The best he can hope for is some decent promotional clauses.
The good news is that would mean he would rather sell to the party capable of getting us up, rather than spiting us as some have suggested.
