Having visions of a rausing dressing room speech from Jacko about what it means to play for Charlton, 2 up top and Charlton winning every game for the rest of the season and getting promoted... Someone get my mess!

His comments after the Blackpool game have re started the protests IMHO

Incredibly generous, that's certainly not how I'll remember him.

    Fancy JJ or JE

    Bowyer..? Not so much

No offence but that is such a ‘fans answer’. Bowyer could be by far the best manager potential out the three, none of us really know. Yet some fans will happily go with a gut feel based on Euell being a nice guy and Bowyer being a twat as a youngster.
Silly thing to say. Bowyer has far less coaching experience or qualifications than Euell.

Jason has a much stronger CV than either JJ or LB and on that basis would be my choice.

Nothing to do with Bowyer as a player or his actions off the pitch.

A shit show of a manager chosen by a shit show of an owner and his shit show cronies.

One by one they are starting to disappear.

    A step closer.

Worth reading through this to remember just how ridiculous the RD era has been.

  • Shame Roland has taken so bloody long to sort this... As said earlier this week, in two days we play Plymouth, proper preparation and we MAY have won, leaving us two points off the Play-Offs

Instead its been left, meaning we're even more in disarray making me think that we'll get brushed aside, leaving us eight points from the Play-Offs!! - On a positive note it'll mean the season will be over and there wont be the potential for Roland to sell us as a Championship club (Gives us more time to rebuild over the summer if the takeover happens before the end of this season).

Of course the other fear is Bowyer is in WAY over his head, the fact we're only 12-pts from the relegation zone (four games) could see us falling back into that fight... League Two then will be a lot less attractive to these interested parties, meaning they'll then walk away!!

    Thanks Roland

Well one more out the door, how very sad and how much of a laughing stock have we become! One person and one person alone is responsible for this and that is RD. He has single handedly managed to take a club from mid-championship status to mid league one status in 4 years. He employed buffoons in his SMT, he had no concept of English football clubs and how they worked BUT the crazy thing and most unforgivable 'trait' was no fucking ambition!!
KR now quits, and yes he was like 'marmite' among many of the fan base, I for one quite liked him, he had a passion for the club not seen since Powell's days, yet he was handed a bucket of shite when it came to spending, transfers etc. So RD sees another manager leave and we sit here now with no CEO, no CFO, no manager, Murray staying quiet, fans deserting in droves and the ship heading towards the rocks at a rapid rate of knots. RD continues to play games, it seems, with potential buyers and seems happy to watch as the club lurches and rolls from side to side.
I hope KR comes out and tells it like it is once he has gone, he needs to say what really went on behind the scenes. RD needs to finally be exposed for what he has managed to achieve in 4 years.
I blame one person and one person only for this mess Dutchelete!!! Its time for the old fool to go, and go now!!
Karl I wish you the best whatever pans out, but now is your opportunity to speak out, so come on, lets be hearing from you!!!

He came. He tried. He was undermined. He left.

Let’s see how the JackoBow dream team fares.

I’m hopeful this is the beginning of the end and it’s all going to move at pace now. And the players will be keen to prove their worth ready for next season in our massively rich new era. It could still be in the Championship...though looking increasingly unlikely.

I heard it'll be announced today at 4:32:01.

Are you sure it's not going to be 4.42?

So as it seems a lot of us that had heard something on this story were right! Funny thing when several people post about hearing the news it is shrouded in doubt til Airman, RedHenry or some other 'ITK' individual gets it right.

    Did

Am I the only one really unsure where my head is with all this?

I've been quite shocked at the levels of opprobrium heaped on the man, with the excuse being 'he knew was he was getting himself into' or 'he deserves it because he worshipped Duchatelet and Meire'. It's almost been a case of 'I hate Robinson more than you do', or 'I hated Robinson before you hated Robinson'. The man is a (pretty average) football manager, not a child molester. I think we've displayed some of the same mentalities as a lynch mob at times.

Who has ever had to hand in their notice 3 times in a couple of weeks to leave a role? There was some negotiation going on for sure.

All the best Karl, cut the BS, try different tactics and accept blame, one day you might be successful doing that.

I couldn’t agree more, sure Karl took a 1000 words to say something when a 100 would do, sure he was a limited league one manager, I can see how any owner may fall for his charm and passion ( my missus compared him to Pardew).

He sure talked a good game, was passionate and cared, but at the end of the day he was Rolands mouthpiece and whipping boy, he knew full well what he was taking on.

He can now come out and say we are a basket case of a club, he’ll easily get another job, any manager that takes on Charlton and fails at the moment will be seen in footballing circles as having an impossible task.

What’s more got to me, and I’ve kept my quiet on this in the last few weeks is the hate and anger coming from the fans which has been just a bit uncharltonlike.

If you’re peed off , don’t bother going, do something else that makes you happy, don’t bother renewing your season ticket, sure pick and choose your games next season, but there’s a bigger world out there ( and I don’t just mean Bluewater!).

Let this ship sink and come back when this twat in Belgium is sick of us, it’s not good for your health at the moment to follow this plank of an owners plaything.

No offense, but it's only 60 hours until a vital game.
Can we not talk about all this until after 5 pm Saturday.
It will only upset all the players glued to these threads.

    Very good, Art.

Amazes me how people on here slate very manager a player we have. This is not a good thing. We needed some continuity and stability.
