    Djiksteel to Posh ?

based on the fact he is a midfielder who can play right back.

Ronaldo is out of the World Cup just in time to join up.

As far as I can see he’s only linked with Peterborough after one bloke on twitter suggested him. This was after their Chairman mentioned they’re signing a centre mid who is also comfortable at right back.

Their Chairman could have been talking about us, exactly what we need now and if we were to go up.
Nah he was talking about them. Someone tweeted him asking when the next signing for them would be announced. He responded it would be announced on Monday and that it’s a loan, a CM who can play right back. Someone then suggested Cousins.
  • On the subject of Peterborough though Anthony Grant is in talks with 3 clubs over a move from them. We could be one of those after we missed out on Agogo.

Dropped my son off at Gatwick this morning at 6am. He sent me a photo of him in the queue with JJ and some bloke I can't recognise. Flying to Portugal by Sleazy jet lol.

I'm hopeless with new technology. He said his name was Josh but must be one of the back room staff. He saw Solly too, so hopefully he is fit.

Ha, I didn’t mean he was actually talking about us. I meant we are in the same position.

Could be. I can clearly see JJ and solly but the other guy does not have the body of a professional footballer. I have it on WhatsApp so if you pm me your number I could send.

I doubt Agogo would have been earmarked four first eleven. My guess is we offered a low salary to boost squad numbers.

Cousins in league one would be a stand out player

On what basis. Did alright, with some significant flaws, for us in a poor championship side, one that got us relegated in the first place, and then couldn’t really get in a very mediocre QPR side.
On the basis he was a solid Championship player. He also did well in a side that finished in mid table in 14/15. He had flaws like all players do. Hollands was very good as a box to box midfielder in the title winning season despite lacking pace. Cousins isn’t a technical player but neither really was Hollands.

Cousins could do a similar job but he was far quicker and even more energetic. That will count for a lot in League 1 and a more technical player alongside him like JFC of Aribo would give us a good balance.

On failing to get in the QPR side he’s been out injured for much of his time there. If he’s lost some of his pace/fitness he won’t be the same player and his weaknesses will be more of an issue. If he’s still got it I think we’d struggle to find someone much better at this level.
All fair enough and I liked him and would welcome him back. “Stand out” though?

Think there is a general tendency on here to over rate our own players and assume all new signings are going to be great when the evidence of recent years is strongly to the contrary.

Watching Bowyer’s interview I think you’re wrong there. He’s said we’re only going for “top players” and talks about only bringing in players that are better than what we have.

Whether he’s right about Agogo being a top player I have no idea.

In the way the likes of Hamer, Morrison and Jackson were in 11/12. Not too good for the league but reliable players that were comfortably part of a title winning team. They then stepped up to the Championship and continued playing their part there.

I hope the takeover goes through soon, Vetokele gets fit and scores plenty of goals for us to get us back to the Championship.

I'm confident Vetokele won't be staying as he is on Championship wages.
Dr Kish reckons we may be interested in Stephen Dawson.
