There must be some technique to it but I’m a FAIL every time3 -
205 is hardly 251. There is no way you were getting close.MrOneLung said:Now Now Canters.
you know when you get a good score we just go and beat it

Really lovely story about Pope from his time in grade cricket:

Finch has returned to Aus due to a family bereavement so will be unavailable for a week. Pope drops out and we are still missing Sam for obvious reasons.
Stoneman comes in to the T20 squad for the first time this season and Smith returns as cover.
For me Burns shoukd come in at the top of the order as he was so good there before Finch arrived.
I would bring Jacks in up the order in place of Pope and bring in either Smith or an extra bowler.
Roy
Burns
Maddinson
Foakes
Jacks
Clarke
Smith
Tom
Morkel
Batty
Dernbach
Or something.
I hope call ups don't affect us as much at the end of the group stages as they did at the beginning.
Looking at the table we are 5th but with a game in hand on 3 teams who are all 2 points ahead of us. We have by a long way the best bet run rate whixh is as good as an extra point. So 1 win and we should be second. Need to keep momentum up even when missing players.

Luke Wright is a player I've always been a huge fan of, always wanted him to sign for Surrey. Should probably have been given a go in the test side when Collingwood retired. Very good player who always does well against us. Salt also looked very good.
Side full of Surrey academy boys - Laurie Evans, Michael Burgess, Chris Jordan.0 -
lost tonight v Somerset

Playing tomorrow v Gloucs at Bristol - and the weather doesnt look very clever, could be another 1 pointer. Need to get some more wins under our belt, else qualifying could be a struggle.0

England 2 best batsmen at the crease.0

We've only got 3 games left (which i dont quite understand, as you play 14 games in a 9 team league!) Gloucs away,Hampshire at home and Glamorgan away, we will need to win at least 2 of those games. Our NRR might come in useful.The_President said:Playing tomorrow v Gloucs at Bristol - and the weather doesnt look very clever, could be another 1 pointer. Not quite. Even after last night's win we still need a couple of results to go our way and to win our last game.blackpool72 said:Without doing the maths I believe we have 2 games left in this competition.

Our NRR is as good as an extra point though.
Home quarter final not possible though.1 -

We need Sussex to lose to Gloucestershire tonight and then have to beat Glamorgan on Saturday.1
