I’ve got shit loads to do and just can’t get going.

Nah.......wrong thread mate. That should have been posted on "things that make you happy".

What's not to like. You can get up later than normal. No need to put on "business atire" & can wear t-shirt & shorts. Only have to make yourself a brew & not half the office. Can fart to your hearts content......and watch porn whenever it takes your fancy.
Most annoying thing is I proper got into it today and did really well with what needed doing, I intended to complete what I had in my own time this morning and what did my boss say when I told him I hadn't quite finished? "it's always something with you though isn't it"

    Wish I'd not bothered now.

Sounds like me most days. I've never once worked from home mind. They've given me my own office now too
  • People buying icy drinks in coffee shops. They take an age to make and hold up the people buying coffee. If you really want one of these drinks get your mummy or daddy to take you to a newsagents and buy you a slush puppy.

Coffee shops - the biggest con of all time. The only shop where you should be able to buy liquid refreshment, unless you are 8 years old and want some lemonade, is a pub. Coffee tastes shit and is shit. It has become a fashion and lifestyle statement ("oooh, look at me with my £5 hochamochawankstain")
Lol, I take it you don’t like coffee. I on the other hand do so you go to the pub and I will go to the coffee shops.
Funnily enough, I wrote this last night after a few beers!

A second vote on EU membership being titled "a people's vote". Meaningless spin to make it sound as though the last one wasn't a vote by the people, and by implication is somehow invalid. Whatever your view, this type of language in politics really pisses me off, and seems designed to give the hard of understanding a catchy slogan to latch onto and repeat ad nauseam.

As someone who obviously would entirely agree with a second vote, I also entirely agree with what you say.

One of my best mates who’s from Carlshalton is an Arsenal fan, when I called him a glory boy once he said “I’ve followed them right through the dark times of the early 80s” . My response was “I don’t remember the inland revenue putting a padlocks and chain on the gates at Highbury?”

That video of the bloke singing the Waterboys song in the pub, that seems to be doing the rounds AGAIN.

Same with Man Utd "fans" who think it's a big deal because they "stuck with them" during their solitary second tier season in 80 years...

John Terry's retired. No announcement yet regarding how he plans to mark his retirement, but fully expecting him to abort his next trip to Tesco after 26 minutes or something equally tedious. I've posted in this thread on the basis that he annoys me and I expect him to continue doing so.

Annoys me more that the press have forced them into doing it as you know that when they dont we get all these stories about he said this, he said that

I guess, but why the hell was Henderson doing it when talking to the ref - if he's worried about that going public, he probably shouldn't be saying it.

Good point, I’m sure “Henderson claims he got the ball” or “Hendo has the cheek to ask the ref how long was left” would be classic back pages.

'Can I have a Coke please?
    With sugar or without?
I don't mind; I just love Coca Cola'

Most annoying advert ever, or at least at the moment. Nobody ever had the above conversation in real life
  • when you try really hard at the petrol pump to put in a round 10 pound and it goes to 10.01. that really annoys me

You mean we have a £10 coin now?
  • The price rise in diet drinks since the introduction of the sugar tax.

Companies have taken advantage of the tax to close the differential in their pricing and we all pay more regardless of drink. Must say hardly surprising and very predictable.

How much you pay for sugary drinks should be based on your BMI.

    This.
All the chubbers should pay extra, after all we pay an allowance if we go over the luggage allocation, and salad dodgers fill up the seats more and generally encroach on others. So why not pay more?
All passengers should be weighed at check in and their weight should come up on a massive screen above check in, everyone waiting can either Boo or Cheer dependent on weight. It has the added bonus of eroding the boredom of queuing at check in.
Vote for me, Ill get it made into law.
Seems fair, but what about people who are just naturally large and therefore heavier? Not fat, but, through no fault of their own, big people, do they pay extra too? Who gets to decide whether someone is a 'chubber' or just big because of their genes? Sounds a bit complicated to me...
