Been replaced by David Hopkin (ex-Palarse) who had done so well with LivingstonSage said:
New manager to be named tomorrow. Clubs these days have no respect towards anyone. Okay Bradford haven’t had the greatest of starts by any means, but 6 games is nothing. Stupid time to sack someone when the window has just closed too.killerandflash said:0 -
His first home match will be against us, typicalForeverAddickted said:

interesting how managers who have got experience in the Scottish leagues are attracting attention down southForeverAddickted said:

Michael Duff has returned to Cheltenham Town as Manager
If he's as good for them as he is as a player for them on Champ Man 01/02 (Always my first signing regardless of the club I'm managing) then they've just hired the greatest manager in history1 -

Havent seen this on here yet but Keith Curle was appointed as Northampton Manager0

Didnt even realise that they'd sacked their Manager
Another example to show how well Lee Bowyer is doing as Bradford | Northampton | Scunthorpe all started the season with Managers who'd been promoted within the club yet all have been sacked - Shows as well the lack of time that new Managers are given too though1 -
Lee Bowyer next manager sacked then?1

Chris Wilder did an amazing job there, when you consider the financial shambles behind the scenes. An impossible level of success to followForeverAddickted said:Didnt even realise that they'd sacked their Manager

Bet their fans feel a bit hard done by... Destroyed League Two in the end yet lost their best player and manager before the dust had barely settled - Now look at Accrington | Plymouth | Portsmouth | Luton etc. and how they're doing and it must annoy some of their fanskillerandflash said:

Plymouth, Portsmouth and Luton are all much bigger clubs though, especially Pompey and Luton. Smaller clubs get poached, that's the reality of football. If they hadn't gone up, Northampton might have lost even more players, when you look what happened to Shrewsbury...ForeverAddickted said:

Macclesfield have sacked Mark Yates...1
-
an example of taking over another man's successful team after Askey moved on to Shrewsbury .. he did a good job at Solihull .. this seems a bit premature despite Maccas bad start to the seasonForeverAddickted said:Macclesfield have sacked Mark Yates...

3 year contract, sacked after 16 games in charge!1

So who'll take over @ Brentford now that Dean Smith has gone to Aston Villa
Cant say I'm surprised seeing that Smith is a supporter of Villa (sounds like his Dad was a Steward there the way he spoke about them on the Radio when I was coming home from Charlton on Saturday) - Certainly be big shoes to fill as have always liked him as a Manager, you just got a feeling that Brentford will still pick the right man... Probably Bowyer knowing our luck0 -
Konsa player manager0

Could do worse than ask Mark Warburton to come back.1

Hurst lasted long, should never have left Shrewsbury

Bet Ipswich fans wish they had McCarthy still in charge. Longest serving Championship club could be coming to an end this season5
-
example of a great success in L1 just not making the grade in the champ .. still, the owner is tighter with his cash than Ashley and Duchatelet put togetherkellycafc said:Hurst lasted long, should never have left Shrewsbury

Could argue that Hurst was backed though: Gwion Edwards (Peterborough) | Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers) | Nolan and Nsiala (Shrewsbury) | Jackson (Accrington), all of them are undisclosed fees and cant imagine any one being cheap coming from Peterborough - As you can tell by the theme though, all good lower league players but need a few experienced heads there too in case they cant make the step upLincsaddick said:

Didnt help they lost Waghorn for £5m
Hurst will be back sooner than you think, wouldnt be surprised if there is a team in League One underachieving at the moment thinking about it
Oxford and Bradford (I know they've already replaced one manager this season) are the two that jump out4 -
not so sure that he'll be in big demand just yet .. Ipswich have had a terrible season and I suspect that prospective employers will give Hurst time to lick his wounds/recover his mojo before offering him a job .. we will see ..ForeverAddickted said:

EDIT and your point about the Ipswich/Hurst signings .. nowadays signing a few promising players from the lower leagues is just not enough .. I am 'concerned' about the number of foreign players now in the champ .. rivals Norwich for example with a German manager have imported several experienced, battle hardened Germans, not of international class, but solid professionals .. and Norwich, like Huddersfield before are starting to see the rewards1 -
Missed the sacking of Hurst. Ipswich aren't known as a "sacking" club so things must have been bad there for them to act so soon. It's not as if they're completely stranded either.0
-
Their next few games are "easier", so it gives a new manager a chance.killerandflash said:Missed the sacking of Hurst. Ipswich aren't known as a "sacking" club so things must have been bad there for them to act so soon. It's not as if they're completely stranded either.

They're at Millwall tomorrow, second win of the season for them hopefully.0
