Was disappointed when Oldham sacked him as he seemed to be doing quite well at the start, I know they got relegated under his wing yet didnt help when they lost Eoin Doyle for a large patch of the seasonkillerandflash said:Richie Wellens seems favourite for the Swindon job

Dangerous job for Euell if he went to Wimbledon. Thing they've hit their ceiling for a few years, and they'll always lose people like Taylor, so League 1 midtable is maximum1

Euell played for Wimbledon.....the club that won the FA Cup in 1988. AFC Wimbledon weren't formed until 2002.
jeez.....really boils my piss.5 -
Whilst I completely disagree with your stance on this, he actually played for both. You might want to get your lawyers to warn The Telegraph about their repeated description of Jason Euell's "return" to AFC Wimbledon though.golfaddick said:Euell played for Wimbledon.....the club that won the FA Cup in 1988. Nolan is a very spikey character and I wonder if he pissed the Notts C players off so much that they've downed tools for good .. pure conjecture of coursekillerandflash said:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46192363

Given that Notts County lost out in the play offs last season and were the bookies favourite to win League 2 at the beginning of this, their decline to 3rd bottom has been rather meteoric.0

I’m not saying that one player made them a team who could’ve got promoted last season, but Jorge Grant who they had on loan last season was absolutely massive for them. Scored a whole load of goals from midfield and everything went through him. He is now at Luton on loan from Forest.
Sometimes a hangover from the play offs and losing your most influential player can really damage a club, we have seen it many times before. Then going from an inexperienced manager in Nolan to a slightly less inexperienced manager in Kewell is probably not what they’ve needed.
They probably need a good wise old head who knows how to get results in a struggling position. I’d say someone like John Sheridan but he is currently at Carlisle.1 -
Shrewsbury are probably another example of this (not getting to keep Dean Henderson from Man Utd will have been a blow) and is probably why we're seeing a different random team challenging at the top of the tables each year these days because of the randomness of the loan marketSage said:I’m not saying that one player made them a team who could’ve got promoted last season, but Jorge Grant who they had on loan last season was absolutely massive for them. Shrewsbury also lost their best player and best defender to IpswichForeverAddickted said:

Shrewsbury seemed to be picking up and then the manager gets sacked.0

Carlton Morris (Bastard!!) | Ben Godfrey | Max Lowe who all returned to their parents clubs will have been difficult to replace who were also instrumental though, the last two appear to be getting a handful of minutes at their parent clubs now tooChris_from_Sidcup said:

WOW!! - Jokanovic gone... Ranieri in @ Fulham
Sneaky bastards to get all that done behind his back0 -
Fulham have sacked manager Slavisa Jokanovic and replaced him with Premier League-winning boss Claudio Ranieri.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/462058010 -
Harsh on Jokanovic & very sneaky of Fulham to have clearly been talking to Ranieri behind his back. We all know it goes on, but still out of order3
-
Jokanovic in a way though has been a master of his own downfall
Why not stick with the players that got them promoted in the first place rather than diving straight into the Transfer Market like a kid whose just been given a blank cheque at christmas8 -
this i agree with, spending big money on players that have not played with each other - i think they will turn it around and hope they do as i can think of another london club that could do with being relegatedForeverAddickted said:Jokanovic in a way though has been a master of his own downfall

Khan said he and his son Tony Khan, Vice Chairman and Director of Football Operations at FFC, considered and spoke with a number of potential candidates within the past week, with Ranieri becoming their mutual and obvious choice. Tony Khan and his staff will continue to oversee First Team player recruitment and contractual agreements, and he will work closely with Ranieri.Gravesend_Addick said:Harsh on Jokanovic & very sneaky of Fulham to have clearly been talking to Ranieri behind his back. In the same sense though Fulham have been sensible doing it the way they've done things
They've been sneaky and a bit immoral towards Jokanovic but we saw Stoke last season and how they decided to sack their Manager before looking for someone, in the end they went a month or two without an appointment and was probably what relegated them (along with the fact they were forced to go with Paul Lambert)1 -
People saying its harsh oh Jokanovic really
Spent over £100 million in the summer sat bottom of the league and have let in 31 goals in 11 games.
Yes it was sneaky and clearly done behind his back, but that is what happens in all leagues, Swindon sacked a manager and appointed a new 1 the next day, no way was the inteview done after Brown was sacked.
Same with Lambert, Hurst left Lambert straight in again they had clearly done the interview before Hurst had gone.
It seems like most clubs make a decision to sack a manager, do interviews and when they have found the right 1 then actually sack the manager1 -
No news on Scott Parker's position as Fulham 1st team coach, although Ranieri will know Parker from his days at Chelsea.1
-
Its harsh on him in the respect that he's only had 12-gamespaulie8290 said:People saying its harsh oh Jokanovic really
Granted Fulham cant afford to wait any longer if they want to last in the Premier League but Curbishley went on a 10-game run where we picked up one point in the 1998/99 season, that would probably get a Manager sacked in the Premier League in this day n age yet look what he went on to achieve... Yes it meant we got relegated but we came back stronger, same with Dyche @ Burnley
What isnt harsh is the fact that Jokanovic was an idiot and rather than rely up the players that got him up (like Curbs and Dyche), instead tried to buy Premier League safety rather than risk relegation and have to come back up the following year0
