That’ll be the extra veg......SantaClaus said:My vegan nieces came to stay the other week. I took them to a vegan restaurant in Folkestone called Dr Legumes. Excellent food and their oatmilk cappuccino was the best coffee I've had in years. It was a genuine brown eye opener.2 -
Honey is an insect bi product, so they shouldn't.cafcdave123 said:do vegans eat honey?0 -
Well they make it regardless and no bees are harmed in the process so wasn’t sureDazzler21 said:

I didn't think vegans ate honey on the grounds that it "exploits" bees? Same as eggs in some cases2

Hardcore vegans do not eat honey. Lots of people who have a mainly vegan diet but may have a pair of leather shoes or a leather belt will eat honey. Not everyone has the same rules for themselves,
towards its harder fringe, Veganism does come across a bit like a religion. Like most religions there are some things you have to agree with to think you are one, not eating pork crackling for instance or that Jesus existed and was the son of God,
There are other things that are more a matter of choice or training, like eating honey (especially local or organic honey) or ensuring that your lights downstairs are on a timer in Sabbat and the lights upstairs have little covers to put over them to ensure you are not creating on the holy day.
There are are many shades of human and of belief and generally I support anyone who looks to build something long lasting and sustainable whatever the quirks that deliver that.2 -
Before this latest fad swept Europe, did people just not ever eat veg except when it was boiled to buggery?0

This is the latest expose. There have been several others in recent times.
Animals - individuals, all - are viewed, by some, as commodities. They suffer as anger turns to violence.
So sad.

Mitigate this by not crossing busy roads, daily, without looking.

I don't care if people are vegans but I do wish they'd stop going on about it at every opportunity - the moral superiority is really tedious.1

Had a delicious "Veggie" Steak over the weekend, meaty texture.
Worth a go imo.
