We got in. And I am so sunburnt.

THAT catch not far from us. Better than Ali’s and Broads from St Lucia!?

I’ve been nursing a hangover since about 3.30pm today and now I think I have sun stroke. What a great week of sport!

Got a bit sunburnt too! Got slightly caught out by the weather being sunnier than I was expecting!

    Glad you got in ok

Not as easy to bat on as the usual Oval pitch
Bira 91, who the hell are they?
Bira 91 an Indian Craft Beer brewer, to go with all the other Indian companies sponsoring the ICC!
The Bira lager was very good.

The Craft IPA and white beer were ok but not a patch on the local real ales you usually get at the Oval.

As there doesn't seem to be a separate WC thread worth noting that Pakistan are currently 77-6 against the Windies!

    Pakistan 77-6 v WI

Ha, didn't anyone just hear the female commentator say "Chris Gayle moves like a cat around the slips".
    Hilarious.

In fairness, it was corrected by her co-commentator: "...a twelve year old cat".

    80-7

Hilariously people were suggesting beforehand that this game would be a high scoring one, with maybe 400 on the board! Great for diehard Windies fans, but if I had tickets for this game I'd be a bit hacked off...

There are two Pakistan sides and I am not suggesting that this has anything that has to do with match fixing. They just have a tradition of awful collapses.

Archer yesterday also showed that batsmen still struggle against pace and well delivered short balls

Indeed - which is why I would like to see Wood in the side instead of Plunkett.

How Moeen gets in potentially our strongest ODI side ever is a mystery to me.

    1. Moeen Ali 102.09
    2. Paul Nixon 99.48

Strike rate means fuck all if you get 8 off 6 balls and are out.

Yet again the stumps are hit from a ball delivered by a fast bowler and the bails don't come off.

We don't need flashing bails. They are obviously too heavy.

That Matt Henry is rubbish and should be dropped immediately from the NZ squad and sent back to Kent

Yet again? When was the last time it happened to a seamer?

But I do agree it’s not right.

I just turned the TV on and saw the pitch for the NZ SL match. Is that the greenest pitch outside village cricket..?
