I must admit thinking the same when I read that. "Nothing was close enough to do that earlier" is a rather strange way of saying it. In a couple of weeks time doesn’t the value of the club fall to lower than a League One club? If i was buying i would be thinking to myself it is too late in the transfer market, if i buy now i am buying a club with high relegation potential and that would mean 3 years from PL at best case rather than 2 years in League One so funding large losses for longer. RD needs to get a move on0
