    40 points clear of Nottinghamshire at the bottom at the half way stage.  Provided we don't lose up there we should be safe for another year. Think that is progress especially as we have been without billings and next year the youngsters will be more established.  Currently 5th and above Surrey who we play on Sunday. Anyone going?

    As Surrey lost, we're now 1 point ahead of them! Hope to see a bit of that game next week

    Plan to watch some of it via the Surrey stream.....

    Chris Tavaré was one of Kent's most stylish and free scoring batsmen. When he played for England he played strictly to orders, maybe he took the orders to a level that the captain didn't realise existed!
