Does anyone remember when Murray said he had some influence over Duchatalet? Can't remember where he said it but I know he did. Wonder if he regrets saying that because clearly he doesn't when you look at all the young players still going for peanuts almost 6 years into RD's ownership.

I remember when Murray said that to Jordan. It was cringey because I thought "be careful because we could go down in next year or 2". We then employed Dowie and rest was history.6

Yes, at the time, I can't say I had a problem with it....even though I thought it was a bit unusual. On reflection, it is and was an extremely cringe worthy thing to say.
That is partly due to the fact that we know more about the kind of character Murrary is and we know exactly where his loyalties lie. Murrary is a fake. He is a snake and a puppet.
Simon Jordan has actually proven to be quite useful.
Even before he expressed his opinion and concerns to Roland....people on this message board were reluctantly saying that they actually quite enjoyed his book.
I wasn't willing to believe it at the time....but now, I quite like the bloke.

To be clear, I don't think for a minute he will back Bowyer. I was just wondering if he might even think momentarily about aiming for promotion on the basis it's the only way he can possibly save face and exit without a stonking loss. The other way to look at it is he is selling the club one asset at a time. The sale of Dijksteel supports that.
