There aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary fo that innings.3 -
Stokes now 1/3 for spoty, started the day at 6/4 which is pretty much where he's been since the WC. just prior to the WC there was 50/1 available0
-
Having now stopped blubbing, I'd like to add that I'm SO proud to have seen a Kent man playing a significant part in winning this Test.
Well done, Joe. The platform that you & your namesake built for Stokesy & co to continue was of huge importance.
Long may you continue to enjoy success with England AND with your county.6 -
Stokes being interviewed by the BBC, asked about Leach's 1 not out
'he's got serious bollocks to stand up and do that'9 -
What is the most runs a last wicket pair have scored to win a match?0

That was incredible.
I walked about 5 miles pacing up and down with nerves.
Amazing from Ben Stokes.1 -

Stokes hit 75 of the 76 runs needed...Must not forget the part Leach played either, even though he only scored 1...

Last wicket I meant obviously.

Hopefully Ben Stokes will never have to buy a drink in his lifetime ever again1

I TAKE IT ALL BACK ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL BEN STOKES I LOVE THEE2

Atherton summed it up well just now, it went from a match we shouldn't have lost after day 1 to a match we shouldn't have won this morning.

Apparently Wikipedia now describes the Ashes as a cricket contest between Australia and Ben Stokes.14

Anybody remember when @Leuth said Ben Stokes doesn't get into a world XI earlier this year.... :-)
That's absolutely astonishing what we've just witnessed.
I don't have the vocabulary to accurately describe that innings. That's no slight on me, though - there is no body on the planet who does.7 -

Certainly got away with it with that panic run which the Aussies dropped, the Stokes missed catch was when we won it though1 -
Incredible. Just incredible.
In 2005 for the Edgbaston test i was flying and England won whilst i was in the air, today i was also flying and also just landed thinking we had lost.
This weekend for me has been three events, three wins all by 1.
1 run on Feiday night, 1 goal yesterday and 1 wicket today - and yet in all three there were times i thought we wwre going to lose.
Cant wait to get home to watch the highlights and reactions0 -
Another strange thing is that i am also flying during the fourth Test.0
