No wins in 11? Nah, it's because he's black. What a prat.guinnessaddick said:Don’t think it’s because he’s black, more a case of bad results.0 -
If race was a factor at Southend, they wouldn’t have employed him in the first place? Besides, he’s a hero at Southend. Nonsense.0
-
Ask Andy Ansah if Southend are racist0

Worth noting that Cockwomble or whatever his name is, referred to those out protesting on Friday as the "Great unwashed" collectively and tagged Lineker etc. in his post. I think he's trying to be one of them...0

The parody account under the monocle,
Martin Cockshaw has the hashtag FBPE ( Follow back pro- Eu) which is a double dollop of Irony because the words and comments are of a persona who wants a hard Brexit and feels the Daily Express is not as right wing since her Majesty Margaret Thatcher vacated number 10.

Great, his enthusiasm for the game has to be infectious for the youngsters.10

Very pleased that CP is back in football. One of the game’s good guys and has so much left to give.6

Jason Euell involved too with U20, and Les Reed still there as Technical Director ... good Charlton links.ForeverAddickted said:8 -
Best wishes Chris.0

Excellent. Now we just have to wait for it to all go sour for Southgate and Powelly can slip in McClaren style and take the England job. Though hopefully with slightly better results..1

good news for Chris and the FA0

Great news for Chris and England.0

Pleased for him, will do well for the 3 Lions, nice man served us well both as a player & manager, think coaching is where he is better suited, his time with us as a manager was remarkable but he failed to take the magic managerial dust with him to Huddersfield & Southend.

Saw him Saturday , he was well chuffed with the Reading result.
Can't believe he didn't tell me about his new job -:)2 -
Is this because of his ability, or to make the numbers up on this BAME thing?0
-
uh-oh3

This thread is another example of the stupidity of resurrecting ancient threads just to avoid starting a new thread. I opened the thread thinking he had been sacked from his latest job again when in fact it is completely the opposite in that he has just been appointed to a new role!

Well when Sky Sport mentioned it they said, Chris Powell has been appointed to work with Gareth Southgate and England as part of the FAs initative to get more BAME coaches involved in the game.stonemuse said:

Just bit off topic of this thread, but see Jason Ewell also forms part of the England set up. The same Jason Ewell who represented Jamaica.
Nothing doing on the Jamaican FA?
Just a little sceptical that we are being a little racial PC.
Not nessecarily with Powell as he is a person I hold in high regard, but Ewell?
