    Vote to the Conservatives from me.

    All my money is on a labour win though unfortunately.
    Backed them for most seats, a majority win and a minority win, may as well win some money out of a shit situation!

    Tories win it with late votes in the last minute. LB blames it on too many injuries stopping Labour voters getting out.

    I haven't spoken to anyone in the last few days who think Labour will win so I'm surprised by your thoughts.  In the nicest possible way, I hope you lose all your money ;)

    Interesting .. I presume you're on polling station 'duty' .. seems odd that you can't leave the building but can email/text/etc  .. IF the point is to prevent any detrimental info getting out (Can't think of another reason) then this defeats the object .. (If you're 'mailing' out on the QT, your secret is safe with me lol)

    My father used to regularly work at the polling stations, hence when I was young I had a lot of those stubby pencils to draw with  :)

    so did my Mum .. but I never got any stubbies ((:<) .. this was still just in the days of post war rationing so I guess every stubby had to be signed and accounted for

    Feels like a generational battle between young (majority labour) and old (majority conservative). 

    I wonder how the Conservatives will fare long-term when they've spent so long completely ignoring the young to focus on getting out their 'base' to the polls.

    The point isn't about letting information out, it's that you have to be on site to deal with any issues that may arise whilst ensuring that polling continues uninterrupted.  As for phones, where I work (not saying it's national) you only get the gig if you agree to use your private phone for work purposes.  They used to issue us with walkie talkies, but that was far less secure.

    Its remarkable how many prominent politicians across the spectrum are "hidden away" for the duration.

    I hear the Lib Dems are now wishing they had kept Swinson out of the way.

    A crate of beers on the go waiting to celebrate the result and the end of Corbyn. Will be following BBC coverage. Should be a good evening as most of my mates have the day off tomorrow so will meet up for breakfast tomorrow. I reckon a Tory majority of 15+.

    fine - he doesn't impress me a lot either although i like some of his ideas  - albeit the establishment would have him assassinated before he implimented them - bit of a play off betweeen who's lieutenant is more ridiculous as well - gove and abbot, christ the whole thing has become a  joke
