Say no more, all the polling staff were struggling not to give her a lecture in how it works."3

This is kind of what I was saying earlier

Keeping it bottled up must be so frustrating.
The irony of repeatedly defending racists and playing down or dismissing their racism but then berating other racist.
You can't because that is not the thing I do.

Probably the most offensive post seen today
why do the losing supporters feel the result only went against them as everyone else is less intelligent than them !11 -

It's an old joke but it bears repeating. If you don't vote Labour when you're young, you've got no heart. If you don't vote Tory when you're older, you've got no brain.1 -

That doesn't resonate with peopleNo one disagrees about the need to help out people in need, supporting the NHS, etc. They may disagree on the numbers and how you fund it.
And then to top that off you have a “leader” ( yeah right) who showed zero leadership in convincingly stamping out anti-semitism, and whose stance on Brexit in this election (“I will be an honest broker” and “I don’t know who will campaign in favour of any deal we negotiate with the EU in a referendum”) absolutely beggars belief.
"Freebies" - Please expand.
Needless nationalisation - surely you are not happy with the way the railways are being run, the subsidy the tax payer pays in and and where the "profits" are going?
How you fund it - how are the Tories going to fund their promises?
Last paragraph - no issue with that.
Nationalisation - I have a real problem with what Labour were proposing. A government can regulate key industries on things like energy costs, rail fares without a need to nationalise them. If previous regulation hasn’t worked come up with better regulations - you don’t need to nationalise. And are postage costs so high that Royal Mail needs to be included? Concentrate on the NHS, social care, education, fuel poverty can be addressed in other ways.
Last paragraph - glad you agree.0 - Sponsored links:

I have never voted Tory in my life.
But listening to the amount of shit posed on here today by sad remoaners I'm glad the Tories have smashed it.1 -
One way of looking at an election and getting satisfaction from the result is to celebrate how the hurt the losers are.
It is a common trait.1 -
Anything that divides people into two teams will result in celebration at the losers hurt. That's tribalism.0

Probably not a good idea to follow football then @aliwibble1

Actually starting to hate the way politics is going. Nothing to do with the result more just a factor of the way the argument is going and the way people on both sides have reacted to the result has just drilled this home. It's horrible. It's the reason why I pretty much keep all my social media politics free (well that and my job requires me to).
But people insulting those who have a different opinion and refusing to accept there is an alternative point of view. It's so childish and just plain boring.
I'm an economist I voted remain but I understand why someone might have voted leave based on their circumstances. I can even see economic arguments for the principle of brexit (even if the reality in practice and the ability to deliver it isnt there). I dont agree with them but I accept they have a valid viewpoint. I go out my way to understand where they are coming from so I can effectively debate with them. I do not just write them off as racists and bigots or insult their intelligence.
Same with today. I voted green (Streatham is a safe labour seat even without Chukka) but I absolutely understand there are valid arguments why people want to vote Tory. I even posted further up on this thread finding the positives from the result. People overreacting to not getting their result they wanted and resorting to insults is just horrible. We need to be able to disagree with something and have healthy debate without it all turning nasty.16 -

Step 1: Decide on your viewpoint
Step 2 : Read everything that supports your view.
Step 3: Find someone of opposing views to debate with.
Step 4: Begin to shout your view to the opposition citing all of your facts from step 2.
Step 5: Claim that opposition's view is wrong and based on lies yours is the only honest truthful view.
Step 6: *optional* If opposite is right leaning call them a racist/bigot/ fascist if left a snowflake/ anarchist/ Communist
Used to enjoy talking politics and current affairs myself but it just isn't worth it anymore.

Mainstream media (owned by billionaires) won out again.
The establishment always wins.
Run a smear campaign against both Ed Milliband and Corbyn. Doesn't matter the leader, labour don't have a chance.5 -
Momentum ruined the Labour Party Alan Johnson nailed it
best thing is momentumites won’t accept it won’t believe it and for the torries that could mean 15 yrs of reign
get Brexit done over cancel Brexit all over winning all ways up2 -

'Mission accomplished' by Mirvis and his defender Welby.
Those who preach about Hell have played a not-insignificant part in realising it.

Of course, it can't be Labour's poor leadership, far from credible manifesto (plus the extra incredible costs promised for the Waspi women) or their ridiculous non-position over Brexit that caused the Tory landslide. It has to be the Tory press or dirty tricks on social media. Get real.6
