Thought I’d post this here to give those of you not on Twitter a good laugh...32
-
The thing that makes me laugh about that is not that the person is trying to claim credit for Liverpool for Joe Gomez which is funny enough itself but they are saying he was 17 when they signed him when he was 18 so they even got that wrong lol3
-
How can anyone possibly think this unironically?stackitsteve said:Thought I’d post this here to give those of you not on Twitter a good laugh...2 -
We all owe Liverpool a great debt.11

I fecking hate the ungracious scumbags that are Liverpool; actually quite liked them until tonight's FA Cup but what a piss take1
-
Liverpool way isnt it... if its not tied down, pinch it!!
If its tied down, well it'll just take a few extra minutes8 -
Gomez pretty much went straight from us to their first squad...
Certainly can't credit them with his development to that point.5 -
correct, he played in their next league game after he signed.Dazzler21 said:Gomez pretty much went straight from us to their first squad...

Bit of a surprise to learn that we let Oztumer go at 16 because he was too small. It's not as if height as ever really been an issue at CAFC is it?4

And Messi was expected, without drug treatment, to end up 4' 11''. Best money Barcelona ever invested.soapboxsam said:

A bit more articulate that the Tweet from The Anfield Talk. I hope the Tweeter sees it.

I responded to him/her originally and I can see that someone has now sent the link to the story too. No response yet...probably sobered up!!!Bangkokaddick said:charlton_hero said:

I pinged them the link from the story, if they're still not getting it, it's because they were too busy out nicking to learn to read.TelMc32 said:

James Milner has demonstrated that he does have a humorous side to him with his Tweet:
"Big winNever in doubt it would end up in the net as Joey G lined it up from 30yards on his left peg"1 -
Gomez left out of the Liverpool side tonight due to a slight niggle. Watford are 3-0 up after 75 minutes. Coincidence? :-)ETA And my apology to @Super_horns if I've just jinxed them...3

Great interview with him in The Athletic. Can’t seem to copy it onto here but if you get the chance please do read it. Comes across as very sensible, humble and focused. Really good read.2

The way you read about Steve Avory and how he talks makes me think he will be a very difficult man to replace when he calls it a day!!Scoham said:5 -
Congratulations to Joe. Probably the best Academy player yet. Now a Premier League winner!5
-
So since leaving us Joe has won the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup. Just FA and League cups to go in club football and with the current crop of English youngsters he must have a chance at Euros and World Cup if he can stay fit...
As an ex player I have huge respect for the guy and he seems humble and to remember his roots to boot. A credit to his parents/family22 -
Well done, Joe.
Do we get a sell-on bonus for this? Hmmm.1 -
Wealthy young man who used to play for Charlton does well. Whatever.1
-
Put a clause in his contract that made us miss out on more money than all those who walk out on a freebie ...1
-
Just a player who didn’t see out his contract.1
-
Pleased for him but not for that insufferable lot.

Told you he was a fool to leave.0
