Regardless, it's scummy to nick it or bottles of champagne. Nothing to do with protests, just like pissing in sinks.
There's no debate that Southall and Amis have nicked a lot more but that doesn't justify nicking booze.. There are toilets just outside the board room for fucks sake.
Just a massive downer on what should have been a good day.
Spent the afternoon counting the £1 coins and then got told Thomas Sandgaard was matching the amount raised. Fantastic and what we should be about, not petty larceny.
The guys I saw taking liberties with booze were young and tried to justify by saying the owners has stolen from the club.
It probably didn't occur to them at the time that the club is not Nimer or Southall and that this tab would have to be picked up sometime.
The toilets were all locked, as were the changing rooms. I personally find pissing in the sink massively disrespectful, its inconsiderate as some poor sod has to clean it up. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I didn't see it.
Whoever stole the games console should return it posthaste, really poor form.
Superb work with the piper and all the dosh raised.
The chap who spoke on behalf of CARD was very good and hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.
COYR.
In which case, said sink would also be "locked "inside.
And, for further argument as it appears to be the night for a good ruck, unless the plug was in the sink, how would anyone detect a wee ?
Now if it was something brown and smelly........
Just trying to clarify matters, of course.😏4 -

As per so often over the past 8 years the club would rather go public and create diversions which would be avoided by simply just talking to supporters and using common sense. Is Meire still working there?6 -
Just don’t let the SMT do what they have tried to do and that’s divide us. We all know there are idiots wherever you go but it is only the famous 2%. Keep the pressure up and hopefully when TS takes over there will be a good old clear out. Up the reds.8
-
Let's not start on anyone who is just doing their job. Most of them are fans and are hurting as much as we are.
Today's protests were extremely successful, and we achieved everything we wanted to, and even got the bonus of TS doubling the donation.
I personally don't agree with the taking of alcohol but as long as it's paid for after the fact that's not that big of a deal. The theft of the games console is despicable though I.M.O and there's no need for it.
The club should've gone to the organisers to inform them and to try get info on who took part in any theft. That statement just furthered the feeling that they're against the fans, even though I'm almost certain this isn't the case for the majority of them.
Good thing is the console is being returned and the alcohol has been paid for so it shouldn't take away from what was a fantastic day for us as a fanbase.
We move on.10 -
As a summing-up-of-events - CAFC's S.O.S. to the national media - what a steaming turd of a statement.

Think you're being a bit OTT mate.
What the last collection of shitbags in the boardroom in an official capacity have been doing the past few years is well beyond anything that has gone on today.
Keep the fanbase united. Don't let the fuckers divide and rule.
You've taken a hammering on here today mate and no need for it as we all need to pull together not attack each other. Don't agree with your views on the whole situation today but don't think fans should be rowing amongst ourselves.
These northern monkeys and the drips that cling onto them for whatever reason will be doing everything they can to cause ructions within the fanbase to undermine the protests. Same as when the CARD protests caused rifts in the fanbase.
Better of united whilst the real enemies are still around and then once we have a half normal ownership and the actual football is the main concern we can all go back to our little tiffs but until then we should show a united front against those who will do far more harm to our club than anyone there today would in a million years regardless of whether it's poor form or not.
And fuck whoever wrote that official statement....get off your high horse and pipe up about the damage done to our club by your paymasters you utter cunts.
Patronising wankers.
Trouble is if someone has pissed in a sink etc. its not going to be Farnell / Elliott cleaning up is it?
I stand by what I wrote.
As for sitting there in silence, would you prefer those working in the background the throw away their jobs in token gestures just to stand with the fans?
Ultimately what does that achieve if anything?
No...but then don't come out and undermine today's protests by publicising out of order behaviour that will play into the hands of the enemy and divide the fanbase when you have kept entirely schtum about the wrong uns in charge for many years.
Say something or nothing. Cowards. However, before we get all sackcloth and ashes, there was plenty of good publicity on the early evening TV news bulletins, and that can’t be undone.Haven’t followed events too closely in the last few hours, but I’m hoping later bulletins ran the same footage, if they covered the story at all. So long as police haven’t commented or made arrests, I’d guess that would be the case.9 -

There was someone on the phone to them asking them to bring some out for them.
The organisers who were in there would be best placed to sort it out if they haven't already, because they know everyone in there.
Mind you if the PS3/4 was nicked from the players lounge anyone could have taken that.
In summary ESI, the CAFC owners have nicked @£2M & fans have nicked @£500.
I look forward to CAFC putting out a press release tomorrow about the @£2M the owners have stolen.0 - Sponsored links:

With such a short amount of time till the start of the season it can damage the surface, now it wasn’t a huge amount of traffic but even still.
To be fair to those in the boardroom, it seems most of the damage and theft occurred elsewhere. Those in the boardroom have offered to pay for what they had, but a decent amount was taken from elsewhere.
For example, someone helped themselves to a fair amount of champagne, dropping and smashing some of them as they made off (Yohann Thuram levels of handling!)
I will personally ask Mr Mihail to investigate that too, while gently reminding him that when he did his “diploma in English Law” he probably came up quite early on the concept of “innocent until proven guilty”.
Was it priced up and offered for sale?
I totally applaud the "occupation", as I think everyone else is, I don't think anyone is defending the pissing in the sink or theft of the PS.
But I fully understand people taking issue with the consumption of goods, regardless of if they left enough money to cover it or not.
It's not a big deal imo but I am supprised that for some people it's a hill they appear to be prepared to die on either way.6 -

So long as police haven’t commented or made arrests, I’d guess that would be the case. There’s plenty in that statement which was designed to support the fans for the protest, that’s why it was a difficult balance.
I know you won’t agree and I get that you have no reason to believe or trust what I say, but there was no attempt or intention to take anything away from the good work done by the vast majority.
The fact remains, that some of the incidents caused by the minority were bang out of order and needed addressing. In an ideal world, the statement to press, which was in response to their request, would have solely been one of unity and praise, but that small minority prevented that.
I really don’t want to get stuck in arguments about it. We did what we thought was best.
The last thing I’ll say on the matter is that there is no division - the staff within the club are on the same page with those protesting peacefully today and there is no one going out of their way within the club trying to suggest otherwise. There was absolutely no malicious intent with what was said in the statement.33 -

Keep it off the official channels to avoid it looking as though the fans are being lectured
He's right though, the fans cannot remain divided like this, we wont get anywhere if we want to continue bickering amongst ourselves about what individuals are doing as right and wrong. Which is another reason why it was kept off the official chanels as bet there will be plenty of fans who do still solely rely on the website for information and wont use forums / social media1 -

The actions of certain individuals shouldn't take away from the overall message of the protest, but some of the stuff was clearly unacceptable and only risks undermining that message. It does no damage to the likes of Elliott or Farnell, the only damage it does is to the staff that have to deal with it and to the reputations of those individuals themselves.
We wanted to strike that balance in the statement provided to media and I hope that's understandable to most. We don't want anyone to think there's any criticism of today's protest in general.
if you want to address fans about the unacceptable behaviour, put the statement on the club website where it’s transparent and the club is accountable. You don’t just give it to the national media.1 - Sponsored links:

Mind you if I'd seen any cheese sandwiches lying around I wouldn't touch them or trust them.
I was not in the boardroom by the way.1 -
Thing is, if no one had taken the drink, pissed in the sink, nicked the console then there would be no need for any statement.
It doesn’t matter if you left money to cover it.
If we’re taking the moral high ground of buying a football club for a £1, stealing club funds, range rovers & bitches etc..................we just lost it.
WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT.
An apology should be made along with the fact that the console has been returned & we move on.
Thank you to those who stayed on the right side of the law today, I’m proud of you ❤️49 -
I think we have just found the 2%
Well done whoever it was. Golfie Jnr was there today & came home buzzing. Found him just now in his bedroom crying. He has been following all of this this evening & told me that he went onto the pitch earlier & thought he was now going to be in trouble.

I'll leave it there mate and I don't include you in the c bombs I was dropping earlier this evening, but rather those who mandated it.
They've done you all over tonight by getting you to release that and I hope they are all down the road and away from the club when a takeover happens and the rest of you can get on with doing your job and what's right for the club without all of this buffoonery.

the protest was good and this negative impression that some have that is coming out of it needs batting away for the diversion it is.1 -
I think the reasonable takeaway from today's events is clear.
If you're going to crime, crime big.
Don't take the wine, pinch the games console, or piss in the sink. Do working class crimes, get working class punishments.
Why not go white collar? Make sure you swipe four white Range Rovers for you and your mates and take out a lease on a cushy London flat with river views. You'll get pilloried just the same, for a time, but the return is so much better. Go big, point fingers at every opportunity, and make sure you get the lawyers, the media, and your wife's father to help muddy the waters. You'll walk away scot free, maybe even with another pay day from the one's who come along to sort out the mess. And don't worry, you'll get to do it all over again somewhere else in the future.69 -

Just trying to clarify matters, of course.😏
Toilets being locked is wrong , where are people meant to go to smoke ?16 -

Regardless, it's scummy to nick it or bottles of champagne. Nothing to do with protests, just like pissing in sinks.
