Oh that is so so sad. I worked with Steve in the city for a while. A truly nice guy who will be sadly missed. Condolences to his family x
  • R.I.P Steve. I may be well out with this but did he do commentary on season highlights videos for the club in the 90's?

    RIP Steve.

Always seemed calm and composed when talking to the media over the years.

A sad year with so many Charlton folk passing.

Was very shocked and saddened to hear this. I was not friends with Steve but have been in a number of meetings with him over the years and always said hello.

One of those people who when he spoke I always made sure I was listening. He was worth listening to. An intelligent guy who cared passionately about Charlton Athletic.

Above all, he always come across as ‘a good guy’.

Thoughts with Alex and his family

It was Steve who first got me involved in The Supporters Trust as back in 2014 I worked with him, it took him a couple of years to persuade me, but that was Steve, never gave up!

I knew him briefly back in the early 90’s when he stood as chair for the Supporters Club.

A man I admired greatly not least for his work as a Charlton fan, but also as a tremendous human being as @Pico describes him in words far better than I could.

    I will miss him greatly.

My thoughts are with his wife Manuela and his three children Tom, Alex & Jamie.

R.I.P Steve and thanks for everything.
