RIP Steve.
Football really won't be the same for me, going forward. Steve and the family sit about ten seats down from myself and Seth, and we always get in at like 2.15 or so, then at quarter to 3, the Clarkes would come shuffling down and we'd exchange hellos and how are yous. Often we'd have a brief chat at half time, or walking back for a debrief after the final whistle. And I spoke to him at relative length after the final last year in one of the pubs.
It's going to be so strange without his presence and calm demeanour. We have lost a true gent and supporter. My deepest condolences to the family.

RIP. He is a huge part of the fight to get our Charlton back. I didn’t know him but had a few chats with him over the years at CAST meetings and games.0

Shocking news indeed.
My daughter and I used to travel on the Junior Reds' coach for several years when Wendy Perfect and her children and Manuela , Tom and Alex were also regulars.
Steve was a well respected Addick who was a "face" known to many.
Sleep tight, dear Steve.
You will be sorely missed.7 -
There is never a good time for fans to lose one of our own who has worked so long and hard on behalf us and the club we all love.
It is especially sad when we believe that - finally - after a decade of owners who have not given us the stability we all crave, the tide may finally have turned.
My thoughts and sympathy to Steve's family and close friends.

I remember listening to Millennum Radio/Charlton Live back in the 80s,when I could receive it in Kent. Steve Clarke was sometimes a presenter with Clive R,Mark Mansfield, andthe banter with Vic from Charlton. Hope in can watch Charlton in Heaven in the good years to come.2
