Marcus Maddison - 20 months jail for GBH (p77)

It's frustrating, as unlike previous signings who've arrived with a dodgy injury record such as Jonny, Maddison had a great fitness record at Posh3

He can eat as much stuffed crust garlic bread as he wants if he bangs in the goals.7

ElliotCAFC said:You can see why a lot of football people don’t like him.His goals and assists make up for the poor diet and late nights playing Fifa. Hopefully he can get out on the pitch and start doing what he does, if not I can see Bowyer and the players growing tired of him sitting in 2nd gear while they’re going flat out
If a pro athlete is training 2-3 hours a day 5-6 days a week and eating well on those days, then i really can't see it as an issue if he has a takeaway at a weekend. I can't imagine every player out there follows a diet like Ronaldo.27 -
Looks like he didn’t get many takers for the cooking role....13

Agree with the point regarding Cheat day... It also appears he's having just a Cheat Meal rather than bad food the whole day. I see nothing wrong with him doing so. I believe the players also train a few hours a day, so with regards to the late nights, so long as he gets 8 hours every 24, then I don't care if he's up late. He may find it easier to have two 4 hour sleeps than one 8 hour.
FWIW We cannot compare our lifestyles to those of footballers. We simply don't have the free time they do.5 -
I'm going to guess that his Domino Pizza days might not have been looked upon kindly by the club:

Aneke is a better 10 than he is 9.
Bowyer isn't going to say "he isn't a 9 but I have got to play him there". Not with this owner, he doesn't have to play those games any more.We might see something change in January but until then I think its obvious Aneke is going to be used as a striker

You can see already he’s being made to cut it out and do extras in the gym.For the record, I like Marcus Maddison. You need the characters in the game otherwise it becomes sterile. He’s 27 now and needs to decide whether he’s going to be kick on in his career or forever be a big fish in a small pond.2 -

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to have pizza left on my face after saying Marcus Maddison was going to be a big player for CAFC this season. At 27 he should be hitting his peak but he needs to be playing to keep him out of mischief.
He has more chance of scoring on Tinder than scoring for Cafc at the moment.0 -

best place to score is in the box and he ain't close to getting on the playing surface0 -
Seems some are bit desperate to dislike Maddison, I for one couldn’t give a shit how cringe he is on Instagram, or if likes the occasional takeaway, tattoo or anything else for that matter. I’ll judge the geeza for what he does on the pitch.36

I think he's gonna be a key player for us this season. Can't wait for him to be fully fit3
-
Sounds like a guy who flies close to the wind and lives life with all the toppings.2
-
He's a bit cringey, but I actually find him quiet refreshing for a footballer on social media. Gives you a bit of a different look into the world of professional football that you wouldn't normally see.
Actually feel a little sorry for him. He's had to move to a new, nice but small looking flat, away from his daughter during a pandemic - and its not like he can go out and enjoy London and the South East for what it would be normally*.
Must be quiet claustrophobic. Guess it's lucky he enjoys playing PlayStation so much.
*Yes I know he is lucky to have a well paid job, doing what he wants, yadda yadda yadda - still does not make it easy.14 -
Although off the pitch he might be a bit out there. Ever since he's joined he is the first name I look for on the team sheet. Cant't wait to see him play fully fit and firing on all cylinders.10

Marcus Maddison will score a dozen goals for Charlton this season.
Conor Washington will score a dozen goals for Charlton this Season.
Chuks Aneke will score a dozen goals for Cafc this season.
The X factor striker brought to the club in the next window will score a Dozen goals.
The rest of the goals will be shared out amongst the squad.
Maddison will win on assists and goals.
Marcus is just giving the other lads a start.
