  • The performance was good. On the press, asserted the game...... but.....the results are what matters. We are dropping like a stone, just like last season. Maybe not relegation, but the form is beyond shocking. We now have a very good Squad, but a very poor Team. We are much better than last weekend (didn't see Posh game) but still are not putting away enough chances, certainly not enough when we concede so easily.

Swindon were there for the taking. We are so far from being a top six side. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking annoying!!!!!!!

Jesus, do you ever post about the actual performances rather than just digging out other posters.

Like people who work with sewage don’t notice the smell after a while, I am now no longer as bothered by the disappointment every week. I am truly starting to just expect it, and not care. An that’s painful to say.......

I've been saying for the last 5 or 6 weeks or so that we have no chance of promotion this season.
Some come on here and mock me saying there's still 20 odd games to go.
Well I don't give a fuck how many games we have leftie ain't good enough end of.
Next season is a different matter but please don't kid yourselves we are going up this season.
    Because we ain't.

Far too busy polishing his white knight armour while moaning Bowyer's name.

He's not getting it wrong in the selection anymore, but clearly something is wrong with the coaching. Every player we've got has regressed this season, and our defence is getting worse and wors
He’s getting wrong for a new reason.... that’s convenient.

He’s not above criticism, but the defence and injuries have always been the issue
Not convenient at all, I've been saying the tactics have been wrong for ages. Tactics are done in training, which is what I've said. So not sure what you're on about.
I’ll hold my hands up if in training Boywer has told Matthews to show his winger inside to get a shot off

  • 12 goals conceded in the last 6 games.

    And we sign a striker....
Thomas said he wanted exciting 5-4 wins.....

The goals we are letting in is not down to luck.

We know our back line is less than ideal since the injuries to Famewo and Innis. Remember, we had a late start to the season with a less than ideal run in and a hastily assembles squad.

Well he has run out of players to blame i suppose...
  • It's an absolutely frustrating results, and one that shouldn't have happened and we only have ourselves to blame for.

Maybe my bar is set so low, but the overall improvement in performances the last 3.5 games, for me, has been very encouraging. I've actually found Charlton an enjoyable team to watch play football, which I can't even say I did when we went on that run earlier in the season.

We are not going to win every game for the rest of the season. No team is, but I think we are going to win more than we lose from hear on out - especially when we get Innis and Famewo back.

Also I think I'm in love with Shinnie. He looks a little like Kane Williamson and plays football like he plays cricket. Just looks like he has much more time then anyone else.

My concern with coming back from 2-0 was the quality of the opposition rather than anything else.. Credit where it’s due tho, we did keep on going, however these are games we should be winning comfortably rather than rescuing a last minute equaliser. Still waiting for something to click and we win a couple of games in a row rather than patiently sitting here for Innis and Famewo to return.
  • Morgan has to play, yes he will make mistakes but he is the hub of eveything good for me (still)

I'd like to say Pearce needs to learn to defend but he's 30fkin3. Stop touching people and dragging shirts, just needless.

We’re sliding into mid table obscurity, which with this squad is really embarrassing. Change of manager would likely be best i think

Will still be Bowyer out for some but another day we win that comfortably.

We had most of the possession.

    Hit the woodwork 3 times.

Had a goal ruled out for offside.

Had chances to win that at the end, a ball should have been slipped through (can’t remember to who) and after that chance Washington should have scored. Not to mention various others before that.

Bad mistake from Matthews for Swindon’s first and then they score again from their only chances. We limited them to that for most of the game until we had to push up and naturally left space behind for them to counter - difficult to avoid that when you’re pushing forward for an equaliser.

Millar was very good, pace, energy and takes players on. Morgan and Shinnie added creativity to the midfield as you’d expect, I’d get Shinnie in the middle when fit and Morgan a run of games on the right - he’s no winger but it gives him space to drift in to and pick out a pass or cross. Williams will never be fit enough to play there regularly and Smyth isn’t threatening enough.

Got to improve soon if we’re going to make the play-offs but I don’t see it being solved just by replacing the manager or adding couple more signings - it’s a mixture of things that need to come together. Whatever happens we need a big rebuild in the summer, if we somehow sneak up I wouldn’t want this squad in the Championship.

    Washington to score this.
Has to wrap his leg around it whilst the ball is still moving though

But yeah tries to squeeze it inside the post in the end
Just seen the replay, 100% must score

That doesn’t fit my narrative of how the game went, so I’ll disregard that little moment.

Wonder if Mendonca & John Robinson could still do a job too?

So that explains Smyth, Bogle, Schwartz, Stockley, Washington, Aneke?

We needed a CB far far more than Stockley.
