If that’s the case , they should all be sacked alongside the manager. Downing tools because you don’t like the coach seems an accepted part of modern football. If we did that in our jobs, we’d be fired in weeks.
If your manager every week tells you how bad you are and that you aren't fit to wear the shirt, would you be motivated to win for him?
So you’d behave poorly on purpose? That doesn’t achieve anything. As bad as Bowyer has been with decisions, there’s still no excuse for the players poor decision making.
Exactly . It seems accepted by the modern football fan that if the players don’t like the manager, it’s ok for them not to try . Baffling.
Been saying for weeks that its baffling how fans continue to ignore the simple mistakes from players
They're grown adults, the players, they need to take responsibility for their actions and yet because its always and only ever the Manager in the public eye they get away with it. Yes sometimes the comments from Bowyer has been harsh but they continuously get away with it at every club, not just at Charlton because people think that the Manager should be telling them what to do every single minute of the game
But it's not just the simple mistakes, it's the fact that week in week out we constantly get out played, out passed, out moved, out fought by the opposition.
If we were dominating games, and teams were nicking goals from a silly mistake then it would be different. But the truth is even if we cut out the odd silly mistake we would still be a terrible team.
We can’t make a toxic atmosphere in the stadium, but we can just not order the stream.
Do yourselves a favour and do not order it no matter this boring your Tuesday eve/Saturday afternoon is. It’s the only reasonable way of getting the message to TS.
Dreadful interview. I'm calling him a bully from now on. He should be furious at Pratley. Done far worse than Williams, Morgan, Maddison ever did. Pathetic.
Most delusional interview ever, blaming officials
Edited: he didn't directly blame Washington just said he was not playing good enough to start basically.
Saw the end of the interview and I actually feel sorry for him. Don’t think he knows how to change things. He’s been let down by the players many times this season but I think it’s best for all concerned if he is removed now.
It’s funny how you all picked different sides every week but want a settled side too.
Just because the spotlight isn’t on your every week you get away with.
You’re not professional football managers for a reason.
”yeah but it’s my opinion” grow up
This opinion is now making me fuming so I probably need a break from this thread. In my eyes anyone showing blind loyalty for Lee ‘pwoper Charlton’ Bowyer has literally no care whatsoever to the performance of this club on the pitch and it’s long term health.
Football is a performance game. Not a bloody love in to look after anyone who has an association with our history.

To be fair as fans we are entitled to opinion, none of our opinions are taken into account by the manager . So how is the professional manager actually doing would you say?. Digging out your fellow fans is a bit poor I’d say when there are obvious problems for all to see, I’d say it was players not playing for the manager, so what do you do about that?.

The bottom line is Bowyer is paid to do a job...a job that he isn’t doing very well at. Part of being a football fan is to be a bit fickle - that’s just how it is. But part of Bowyers job is to to pick a team capable of competing - he hasn’t been able to do that. The buck stops with him. He had a transfer window to sort out absolutely abysmal defence out and he chose not to do it. Any fickle football fan could see that our problem was at the back - but Bowyer couldn’t.

I’m ranting now and I can’t even help myself.
Some people seem to be Bowyer fans over a Charlton.
The majority of us are Charlton first and only Charlton.
My opinion of Bowyers management hasn't changed since our promotion season. Even back then with the players we had, we never seemed convincing in our wins and certainly not entertaining to watch, but he was still in his "probational" period and promotion gave me hope (I still stand by my comment a few weeks ago that we limped our way there). A short honeymoon period in the championship before he was found out. Due to all the shit going on off the pitch, he became almost the messiah to most fans and could do no wrong and I think he himself believed the hype. A new steady ownership should have given him a kickstart to greater things, but instead, strip away the excuses of off the field interruptions and his frailties are there for all to see.
Something I read from another poster was that maybe he won't get sacked until the end of the season, as Sandgaard might have someone lined up, but not available until the summer. This might be the case, but I'd still rather see him gone now and get a caretaker in for now

Its a joke and he's dragging this out week by week to get a payoff.

He doesn’t rate Pearce or Deji, I think he would have tried.

Oh wow. If they were not playing for him before, that seals the deal.
