Chris Wilder will be available soon - wouldn't be the worst turn of events - form over course and distance.
Ironically there’s probably a ‘has chris wilder lost it?’ Thread on their forum
Probably because some one on here said they were embarrassing themselves every week.  😱

Seems like their fans are more supportive of him than the board though.

    - Let Pompey hire Bowyer and pay us compensation
    - Hire Jackett, now a free agent, as the new Charlton manager
    - Giver Jackett the Bowyer compensation funds towards his transfer kitty
Jackett was very limited at the scum (my brother was very happy for him to go in the end) and hasn't been pulling up stumps at Pompey so I can't say I'd be over the moon to have him here.
Pompey fans hate the way Jackett plays football ...very negative. They have wanted him gone for ages even when theyve been winning games. He doesnt inspire me and Im amazed that anyone would want him over Bowyer. Im pretty sure in his three season finishes so far, Bowyer has finished above Jackett every season despite having dreadful backing from owners

The biggest deterrence for a team wanting Bowyer is for them to come and watch one of our games.

Just listening to him should be enough.

Michael Eisner is significantly richer than Thomas and Pompey have spent quite a bit of cash over the last few seasons.

Obviously time will tell but I don't think it's clear cut we will be spending more than them in the summer.
It is always easy when it is someone else spending the money.
You going to say that every 3 hours?

He should keep saying it til it sinks in. I guess now is the time to remind people that since Saint Thomas' arrival we have been net sellers. We are not getting out of the league with that strategy.
  • I'd be happy to chip in with some petrol money

I'd carry him there to make it happen.
  • To be fair, a train fare would be best.

    It's the Charlton way!!

Wilder came out and criticized some of the players in his squad saying some of them won't be at the club in the summer. Got fired next week. Same should have happened to Bowyer IMO after he named and shamed players.

And then we hire Wilder, as it has been mentioned on here by some who think he is the answer to our problems, round and round we go

    Jackett sacked.
  • I'd take a swap
  • Reading some of the pompey comments on twitter and quite a lot saying announce Bowyer and some tweeting their owner saying get Bowyer in!
  • Bowyer now odds on favourite 15/8, next closest is 4/1

  • My money would be on Neil Harris for the Pompey job. Would suit them perfectly I think.

Second favourite at 4/1. Think he would be expected to hit the ground running rather than negotiating with us for Bowyer etc

Only reason why Bowyer would go to Pompey is because its nearer to France. He could take their squad on a swimming exercise & see to his fish once they make dry land.

Otherwise I feel he'll be with us until at least June.

Surprised he is favourite at the moment. I really can’t see him ending up there.
  • Wow... Ridiculous decision I think
  • Please please please take Bowyer Pompey.

I rated full metal Jackett. He was good at both Wolves and Millllll. Be surprised if he doesn't land a job somewhere in league 1 or even the championship.

We need to freshen things up so I really hope Portsmouth take him.
Thanks for the memories and sticking by us through difficult times Bow, but its time to go.

I think if this scenario does transpire then everyone's a winner,............except for maybe Portsmouth.
