I am eligible finally, Sunday i checked the nearest was London... I am in Yalding so ideally looking for T wells angel center. Today i checked and now showing Orpington, in two minds whether to book up or check in the next couple of days to see if T Wells or Sevenoaks pop up, also i am limited as i have to have the AZ due to several allergies.

Now eligible and my nearest site is Denmark Hill despite being in Orpington. Is that usual?
My brother lives in Orpington and booked last week for Bromley Civic Centre.

Pfizer one for me at 15.30 this afternoon at Warren Pharmacy in Bexley village. No dramas, all very efficient and feeling fine and dandy.
    Long live the spanner.

BBC on the videos with people claiming vaccines cause you to become magnetic (they don’t):

I'm sorry but who are you going to trust? Random strangers on social media or the BBC?

The BBC would say they aren't magnetic  because they support misinformation and censorship - apparently!

And that's why you can never win an argument with the tin foil hat brigade.

Any logic or proof that they are wrong is "what they want you to believe".

Despite the fact that the bollocks they are spouting is what Dave in Leicester wants them to believe so he can get YouTube views.

Had my 2nd jab on Saturday, 8 weeks after my first. Didn't feel anywhere near as achy second time around thankfully.

Just had to postpone my second dose here in Spain as I have shingles and the antiviral medication for that can't mix with the Covid vaccine. Hopefully can get it rescheduled for when I'm better.

Just had my first Pfizer dose at Charlton house after an invite by my GP. We’re well into the 20s here in Greenwich.

I have to take antivirals occsionally for herpes simplex (cold sores)- I take aciclovir - had some cold sores start day after first pfizer vaccine and GP said it was fine to take - no ill effects.

Had my first vaccine today, so far so good. Oddly when I got home I had an email and text saying my second booked appointment has been cancelled and to re book.

has anyone had similar? I rang 119 but they can’t help me until tomorrow now as waiting system update from today’s appointments.

Bit worried about getting second booked within what was originally an 11 week gap.

Thanks Bob, reassuring I guess new bookings now are within 11/12 weeks of each other and there’s currently 2nd bookings who can be considered within 8 weeks of the first and creates some movement.

Thank you, just found it odd to have cancelled like this and worried me a little

Similar happened to me.  I live in Gravesend & there are 2 vaccination sites within a mile of my house, but the online booking system said my nearest available was St Thomas's!!

I waited a few days & kept checking the website, last night I finally managed to book my vaccine in Gravesend.

If you're desperate for the vaccine, you may have to travel, but if you're happy to wait, keep checking the booking site regularly & you should get somewhere nearby eventually.  It's entirely your call

Similar thing happened with me after having mine yesterday. Have you been able to rebook your 2nd jab now or do you need to wait till nearer the time?

It may just be that they've cancelled the 11 week slot so you can go back to an 8 or 9 week one, as these have been freed up by earlier appointments being moved up too. Have you checked on the website to see what slots it offers you now, or won't it let you do that until tomorrow either?
In other news I'm just back from having my second jab. It was somewhat busier than the first time, and the woman on reception said that they were seeing people for their first jab who they'd expected to have been done well before now, so it sounds like the publicity about the importance of getting vaccinated is getting through. Still only had to wait about 10 minutes though, and there were enough chairs for everyone waiting, so it wasn't a faff at all.

Well you have described yourself as Velma, and I now have a location, so just starting the car now 😉
  • Had my second jab on Monday. As per first one no major effects other than feeling a bit washed out Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Went out for a run today though and boy did I feel it. Blowing out my backside much sooner than I would normally be even feeling slightly out of breath. Managed to get around my usual route okay but definitely should have given it another day I reckon.

Makes sense, at the moment if I go to rebook it treats me as new booking and offering first in June second a week after my original second - going to see what it’s like tomorrow once updated
