Exactly, it’s survivor bias. I had covid and it put me in bed for 4 weeks, I was a fit and healthy 28 year old, honestly anyone significantly older would’ve been put in hospital at least.Covered End said:

It's a meme thing. I think it comes from SpongeBob Squarepants, but never having watched any I can't say for certain. It's basically meant to imply that the person being quoted has lost grip on reality as far as I can tell.

I wasn't responding to anyone in particular or calling anyone stupid. I was making reference to the number of times on this thread and the main COVID one references have been made to young people either blaming them for the spread or saying they won't take the vaccine up. I was particularly derided once or twice when I pointed out that everyone I know of my age is pretty socially responsible and is desperate for the vaccine so they can get back on with their lives and having fun. Whereas all the conversations I've had with people who don't want it were middle aged.stop_shouting said:

Why do the mods allow anti-vaxxers/conspiracy theorists on here and the HOC section? Not only are they incredibly annoying & clog up threads with their endless streams of garbage, but some other gullible moron might just become brainwashed because of it.

Had my first dose yesterday (Pfizer) at the Sea Cadet Hub in Canterbury. Efficiently run, had a short wait before I got in but luckily it was lovely weather.
Slight arm ache last night and this morning. Took some paracetamol last night, but no issues at all. Went for a run this morning and it didn’t affect it either.

I only know one person who won't have it. She was using her son as an excuse as she didn't want to not be able to look after him in case she got any side effects from it.MuttleyCAFC said:
