Also Italy were at home to Turkey, for Wales it was a virtual away fixture.
Is there a reason why the Cardiff stadium is not being used in the Euros ?

Rodon and Davies were magnificent at the back.
    Rodon looks a real talent.

Just wasnt chosen - Guess they thought with London, Edinburgh and Dublin that Britain had enough venues.

Didn't even realise Dublin was one of those involved. Thanks.

(Edit) Sorry, just noticed they "cancelled".

Italy look good here but once again I can’t tell much from the Swiss. They look so lifeless. Italy are a couple of levels above anyone in that group so their test will come in the knockouts.

I'm told by CEJ that UEFA said before the tournament started that they weren't going to penalise attacking players for accidental handball if it led to a goal.

VAR really is shite isn't it. I know according to the law that probably is a handball (even though he knew nothing about it), but it's killed the magic of the moment.

Offside should also be daylight between attacker and defender. Overlap = onside

Berardi is one of those players that could be playing at a bigger club. But I do respect the loyalty he’s shown to Sassuolo.

Is there a particular reason Turkey have been so poor this tournament? I was reading a lot of journalists mentioning them as dark horse for going far this year, and know of few mates putting bets on them too.

The problem is that’s arguably even more subjective than the current rule.

    How would you measure that?

How come you can hear the ball being kicked, and it bouncing?

Totally. I hate it and I'm not a paying customer!
One of the reasons you go to football is to let loose when your team score. This load of bollox is the death knell for that.

With the lines, as before. You now compare the rearmost, not the foremost, point of the striker to the foremost point of the defender

But you’re still going to have the same problem?

If an attackers toe is touching the line or even a hair on his head, it’ll be offside. I think you’d still get the same arguments.
