"Market is fucked, clubs offering pennies in the pound. Clubs won't know exactly where they are short until they sort their loans. If no one blinks clubs will go out of business and others will be fielding teams of kids. There will be a record number of unemployed players".

Out of thin air, I literally just made it up because the thread was so grim the last couple of days that I missed the fake ass rumours we used to get in here. Dazzler, feel free to list me.
Cue 20 pages about whether @BR7_addick is being sarcastic and how he’s not the right sort of player that we need!
Ive never seen @BR7_addick play so won’t comment if he is the right sort of player we need, what I will say is….does he pass the Charlton life height test.

Close, 5’9, left back, however I’ve been described by current team mates as a “stay at home full back” so don’t fit the attacking full back box that is demanded..
He's literally just said that he's made the rumour up but apparently it's now the end of Madger Gomes. Oh well, better than Stone Cold Steve Austin eating a burger or debating whether Lee Bowyer staying too long was the reason we missed out on the play-offs

This is the first post in about 10 pages on this thread that makes any sense at all. It isnt rocket science is it. The agents and players are clinging on like grim death to try and get a similar deal to what they could have got 2 years ago. It isnt going to happen, the top players and top clubs then yes silly money still applies. Outside of that they need to get into the real world and I for one think that will be good for the game in the end. Clubs that have players currently on long contracts for high wages are going to be in dire shit imo. Sheffield Weds for one, they have kept quite a few players purely because they cant sell them at a price their agents will accept so have no choice but to keep them. Completely unsustainable
