On that stat above, Adkins was asking for 25 clean sheets, all from a keeper that averages conceding a goal a game plus. Even last season in a top side he only had 15 clean sheets. With our defence around him well be lucky to get 10-15 clean sheets. Rethink for the season targets is needed from TS and Adkins.

CM needs time to judge but he’s not got off to a flyer, the for sure. I said it all along, Amos was much better than a lot of our fans realised and I think we will see that this season.
  • All the reason why we need a good back up keeper....capable of going straight into the first team if Big Mac doesn't improve.

He's probably been our best player so far today, some great saves

Not the impression I got from the commentary team.

You're either high and drunk, or on the wind up

He has made three very good saves and looks far more assured today

Really? Without them, we would have lost 0-5

3 top drawer saves in the first half alone.
  • Had a decent game today.
  • Best performance for us and kept us in the game early on

Good with his hands. Looks pony with his distribution.
  • I've not been impressed with him, but today he was great

Just because you slagged him off before today don’t feel like you need to double down in spite of new evidence

He looked like the Pompey POTY today, pulled off several great saves, best game for us so far.

Goalkeeper only positive today, kept us in the game with some great saves. The defence looked shabby and whilst I am not blaming Gunter he shouldn't be playing at LB. The main problem is Morgan, no creativity and is clearly out if his depth. Again not his fault but playing him as a no 10 is destroying him and us.

Scotland squad gets announced next week, could be our third international and the Gillingham game gets called off!

    The one positive from today.

He’s still on for being a relegation goalkeeper though but not down to him.

Clearly a wind up or he is some sort of idiot. I will let the non idiots decide which!
  • We’d have got a thumping today without Maccy G.

I don't feel the need to do anything. As I watched the game I didn't think that any of the saves were great and having watched the highlights I maintain that the saves were no more than bog standard. If anyone feels that any of the saves were great then I would suggest that they are very easily pleased.
I'm just grateful that he made no big mistakes, which is all that I ask of a goalkeeper.

    “bog standard” - alright then…

He was our MOM and we would have lost 0-5 without his saves, however you wish to describe them.
    Everyone agrees bar one person.

Why don't you just watch the highlights and decide for yourself if my comments are fair or whether we had the reincarnation of Gordon Banks in goal.
