Bet a few countries are going to get stroppy over this...

We’ve refused to release Gunter on account of him being so shit.

Chris Gunter has now been called up by Wales
Looking at the squad, they've stuck with the same names including Jonny Williams and Dylan Levitt who I hadn't realised has gone on loan to Dundee United

Wales do seem to stick with the same players, they're still picking Jonny despite him being in the 4th tier
  • Are any of our games going to be called off / postponed due to call ups?

I hope it's not an evening game.

The economy is entirely bollixed and power is intermittent throughout most of the country (the American University Medical Centre, one of the top hospitals in the country was running out of fuel for its emergency generators in the last couple of weeks).
I just checked their fixture list, and their September games are away to UAE and South Korea

Things get a bit more iffy in October when they are away to Iraq and Syria...

Gillingham off. Who would have guessed that Ghandour would be the reason though...

    I blame the Human League.

Syria play their 'home' games in Jordan. Iraq usually play in Qatar.

Definitely wouldn't want to be without our No 1 keeper. Especially as we still don't have a backup

With Arter coming in barring injuries thats
    Arter
    Gunter
    Washington

Who will likely get called up

    So expect

    Rotherham at home in October
    Burton away in November

    Both to be postponed

You would think that one advantage of now being so shit would be no more postponements due to international matches. We can't get anything right anymore, can we?

8 out of the 12 games in L1 have been postponed, so it's not just us. Rotherham called their game off as well

While Ramsey's return bolsters Wales in midfield, the absence of Davies and Norrington-Davies leaves Page short of options at full-back.
Connor Roberts has only played 45 minutes for Burnley Under-23s since injuring his groin during Wales' last-16 loss to Denmark at Euro 2020 in June.
Liverpool's Neco Williams has also not played any senior football this season having recently returned from injury, leaving Charlton's Chris Gunter as the only specialist full-back in the squad playing regularly.

Its good then that he can play both right & left back......as well as centre half if really necessary 😄.

If we beat Rotherham tomorrow I hope the club sees sense and doesn't call off the match against Burton. We never do well after an International Break & the team would be on a roll.

I tend to agree with you on this point, but JJ may feel unlike Nads he can make progress on the training pitch. It never seemed to help with Lee Bowyer in his last season when we had an international break.

Keep playing would be my request when you have momentum.

Who would our three be if Arter is injured and Ghandour on loan. Just leaves Wash and Gunter doesn’t it?

Me too, largely because Ive booked a triple room in the Burton ibis for two nights for the grand total of £68. If the game is called off I think we might visit the brewing capital of Britain anyway.

MacGillivray could be on backup for Scotland
