At least we're not local rivals for them, like our form against Millwallse9addick said:Surprised at how sore Sunderland seem at losing to us, you’d think they would be used to it by now
They should try going 20-years without beating Newcastle and see how that feels3 -
Weird. You know sometimes in a TV show they switch the actor playing a character and then act like nothing's happened? Yeah, cheers for turning up today Adam but we've not forgotten you've been gently directing attackers inside to smash goals past us all season. That was you!MattF said:

Just goes to show, that despite those who kept insisting Jacko was part of the problem, he had been only following Adkins instructions.Fumbluff said:“It’s a formation I like. I like two strikers on the pitch”
Johnnie Jackson 23-10-21
Now Jacko is his own man, setting upthe team his way.

Johnson by name......he's a bigger bell end than that fat shit Evans, total cockwombleForeverAddickted said:7 -
Great win, great performance. Something slightly odious about the players being able to up their workrate/application to such an extent but hey ho.
Lets hope they keep it up. If Jacko ends up "losing the dressing room" in 6-9 months I'll lose my mind.7 -
Oxford had 14 points after 14 games last season. Not expecting miracles, but clearly shows that there is still plenty of football left to be played.26

He he -don’t normally put Charlton in my predictions but we are Sunderlands hoodoo team - predicted 0-1. Get in !Macronate said:Fuming.

That was what a proper Charlton team looks like. Felt like we were back in a Curbs or Powell era today. The effort from every single player was superb, all fighting for 95 minutes, for every single ball.It was more than just putting a shift in though. Set up in a 4-4-2, clear plan to be organised at the back and use the two central midfielders to get the ball wide and counter, especially to Leko was excellent today (maybe could have been a bit quicker and more direct sometimes?)Leko tried that type of cross to Stockley a few times, clear gameplan and a weakness they’d spotted. It worked.Could have had another maybe, Sunderland should feel unlucky not to have had a penalty at 1-0 down for handball. Looked like a penalty to me but would have to see it again.Great win, it’s going to lift us. Great to see Jacko at the end. The players clearly love him and he absolutely loves this club. Onwards and upwards.0 -
I do not have an English degree only an O level but good lord the spelling mistakes in that piece....doesn't anyone proof read this stuff before postingLouisMend said:0 -
For the first time since Curbs (ed and then later Chris P) left we have a manager that I genuinely feel excited about and also a sense of affection for. I know you are going to rip the piss out of me but I don't care...I was so f****ed off recently that I was in the "get rid of them all" camp. A great result.4

Sometimes I can understand having a go at the ref when you've lost, but in the cold light of day I genuinely don't think there were any egregious decisions - apart from not booking/sending off their defender who tried to handball on the line2

Also: "Dobson not shit" shock...7

ie Johnson's a bellend but everyone knows that anyway2

Agree, but surely with the exception of Powell (at least in terms of "affection")?Wheresmeticket? said:For the first time since Curbs left we have a manager that I genuinely feel excited about and also a sense of affection for. I 100% was questioning whether JJ and Euelll were part of the problem, in the hope they wasn’t, it’s 1 game by the way. So let’s keep the hope it was an Adkins/ player unprofessional problem. If after 5 games our good vibes tonight continue. It would be fair to gloat about the people who reasonably IMO had doubts. Well done today to all and the 1000 that went up to Sunderland not knowing if we’d get the same shit we’ve had all season. Proud to be Charlton tonight.Oggy Red said:

Exactly what Powell used to say. If Jacko can perform for us like he did we'll be happyFumbluff said:“It’s a formation I like. I like two strikers on the pitch”

I though Dobson was very good in preseason. They way he crumbled against MK Dons was embarrassing though and he carried it over to the next game as well.Wheresmeticket? said:Also: "Dobson not shit" shock...
I hope we see more good Dobson because he can be a very good player, it's easy to forget how young he still is.5 -
Great result, JJ never let's us down and I have a sneaky feeling this could be the first of many.
Was TS there today?1 -

Delighted with the win. I really hope JJ measures up as a manager.0

The more an opposing manager throws his rattle out of the pram, the better you have done. Accepting Johnson is liable to do this more than most, all it does is throw more credit on us. I hope he has a good cry tonight and gets it out of his system.8

Sunderland have already done 5 out of those 20 years.ForeverAddickted said:
