Stop playing this poxy song

The most important thing about a match day is winning. And when that happens we all like to celebrate in different ways, clapping the players at the end is a big part and quite rightly so. Therefore it must be annoying to those who find the owners song detracts from that, however, there will be also some who like or don't mind the song and what they may find more annoying is those who let a trivual matter like a song, not any song but one from a person who pays the players wages and keeps the club running, detract away from the performance and result.1

i think there's going to be a meltdown on here if the rumour is true that TS is thinking of doing a rock cover of Cyndi Lauper's hit "Girls just wanna have fun". Which will be played after every Charlton Ladies victory.7

The "saved the club" appreciation honeymoon has now completely surpassed.
I can see behind the mask. The bloke does have self inflating ego and it is a problem.
Compare the problem to the Belgian waffle...then that is only the waffle to victory and it makes TS sound like a very good owner of the club.
TS is showing indications that he believes the sun shines very brightly out of his own ass, but, he attends games, he has put loads of his own money into the club and he openly communicates with the fans.
We can't have it all our own way. It just is what it is.0 -

I thought his theatrics before the Wednesday game with his guitar were embarrassing, if Palace did that we would be taking the piss. It's not really a big deal, but it is annoying and people are allowed to calll him out.1 -

The players are clapping the fans and walking off, it should be a buzzing atmosphere but instead there is no singing as they are force feeding noise through the tannoy.I love the Red Red Robin a thousand times more than that 80s crap, but I don’t want to hear that then either. Play it once the tunnel jumps done as the fans are leaving and leave the end game celebrations to the fans, players and Jacko to show a bit of appreciation to each other. Let us sing to Jacko, Stockley, Gilbey etc
Yeah, must be difficult for you @LargeAddick, not being able to sit and have a little snooze like at your Adele concerts and suchlike.

It's shite and I hate it.0

I think it’s fairly shite and the less I hear it the better unless we are always going to hear it after every home win in which case I hope to hear it often. Dilemma1

What about a Sandgaard rock cover of Tom Jones' She's A Lady?1

So we now have TRRR, Into The Valley, ATV, Sir Cliff, The Begees, London Calling and that Squeeze song from 1998 on the Spotify playlist! Oh and Bryan Adams' "we're gonna win" from the Prem years. Just the timings to sort out now....
Edit. And Mull of Kintyre of course0 -

I must be the only one who remembers the endless playing of the Faron Young song.0

If you don't like it, take some cheese to stick in your ears (something like mozzarella or camembert would be suitable) and bite the bullet for three minutes or so however long the dirge is on for. Its not important really and it has cost TS a lot of money to carry out his amateur musical experiment on a captive audience.0

It does frustrate me that football fans/human beings in general get bothered by stuff as insignificant as this. However, on the flip side, if Thomas really wants to be a good and respected owner he should know that this is the exact sort of thing that would be divisive and should have stayed well clear of doing it in the first place.4

I guess the positive to take from the moaning about a song at full time is just that. Things are good and looking forward so you iron out the little problem rather than our existence or transfer embargo’s being the issues anymore. But fuck me we’ve got some delicate fans!1

By the way, 'so' should not be followed by a verb. I suggest 'I agree very much with you about ................'0 -

Maybe wait 2 or 3 minutes and then play it? Or play it quieter at first and then ramp it up a bit? I have no problems with the song or TS's approach to how he wants to change things at our club. Refreshing actually.

It wasn't played after the game and we won.
Feel a bit for TS as to how much of a big thing it's become.3 -
It's daft and silly and a bit egotistical and definitely played at the wrong time and over the top and quite American.
But uh...it's also kind of catchy.
🎶We hear the battle cry...🎶2 -
Disappointed. If we can't have it after a clean sheet win, when can we have it? 😞10

It was played, just very quietly0
