3 wins on the bounce, 3 clean sheets on the spin and that elusive away win.

Very good 3 points not just the win but the performance and the chances we created which is good to see .. on another day we score 5/6

We won.
We should have won by a lot more.12 -
Normally at this stage of the season three wins on the trot would fire us up the league.
Not this season though.
Mind you that was a much much better performance let's keep it going.6 -
Well played CBT.17

Doncaster were as bad a team as I have seen for ages. They were awful.
And yet we only just held on for a win. The last 10 minutes we were under huge pressure.
We kid ourselves if we think the 11 playing today will form the base of a promotion winning team next year.29 -
We hammered them 1-0. Much better performance with some good, passing football that deserved much better, clinical finishing. Washington in particular left his shooting boots at home. Doncaster were woeful and we will have paid dearly for all those misses against a better side.Great performance from CBT and I must admit I haven’t rated him at all up to now. But then he got the most ridiculous yellow card when he nicked the ball and looked set to sprint away to their goal. The only possible explanation is that he hadn’t been waved back on by the ref.Still, three wins on the spin and we are pretty much nailed on for a mid-table finish, which is about all we deserve.6

Just hope that like this time last season, this isn't making some of the squad look better than what they truly are... There are areas we need to improve upon, but we really need to refine the starting eleven, as well as the squad if we want to be taken seriously next season:
- Clare (MAYBE) as a Centre-Back, I like his rampaging runs, and the fact he's almost got the freedom to do what he wants compared with Lavelle etc. But we need more than just Lavelle back there; Purrington certainly isnt a Centre-Back... Its the back four (3 CBs | 1 GK) that needs a lot of focus in the summer.
- Need a decent Right Wing-Back; Blackett-Taylor is proving to be the answer on the Left, but if we can find someone on the other flank, then we really could be a threat going forward down the flanks next term.
- Need a more creative midfield, and support for George Dobson, the thought of losing the latter to seriously injury, still gives me nightmares, and has done throughout the season. Dont think Aaron Henry is that answer yet.
- Need to find another answer to Washington, love how he's a Duracell battery, and he bring so much more to the squad than just his goals, but equally need to be able to give him a break or the warning of being dropped if he's having a poor game, like today... He's at his most prolific in League One for a reason.11 -

Out of the relegation battle and out of the playoff race and we're playing better football. Frustrating2

We’re up to 14th!!
20 points off the playoffs, 10 points off 10th.0 -
Really looking forward to CBT next season after a full summer and preseason with us.

We've cut the gap to 6th place............... Only 20 points now to make up, 7 games left, the playoffs are back on!

Playing better with nothing on the line just proves to me more that we need to get rid of a lot of the bottlers for next season. No amount of wins compensates for the shit they have dished out in this waste of a season. Well done for winning, but so what!!.🤷🏻♂️13

With the technical issues they should do the interview with Jacko by pigeon post4

Please Jacko and Thomas, don’t be fooled that three wins on the trot means that this starting 11 is anywhere near being a promotion worthy side next season. Please, please don’t be fooled that the likes of Matthews merits a new contract just because he’s suddenly pulling his finger out when he sees the exit door opening. Please please please don’t be fooled that good servants like Purrington can be anything other than a third choice squad player if sentiment gets in the way of good sense and he gets a new contract. It’s good to see the lads winning albeit against a pile of absolute stinking chuff. But this isn’t renaissance. It’s the last gaspings of a poor side that should, largely, be put out to grass and thanked for their (pretty lamentable) efforts.29

We won, and on the whole we were pretty comfortable and should have won by more.
Some points of encouragement for me.Lavelle making me not miss Innis.Thought Fraser really made things tick today, and was super tidy and composed on the ball (against a very poor Doncaster side granted).
CBT looking like the player Leko could have been. Basically a cheat code at this level.Just want to see some semi decent football before now and the end of the season, and then hope we get some good business done early next season (mainly a striker, cover for Dobson, and another centre back).8 -
He was MotM a couple of weeks back, and could well be today. Think he could be a valuable player for us next season, as he's one of the few who can change a game.Davo55 said:We hammered them 1-0. Washington used to smack his penalties, but sounds like he tried to wait to see which way the keeper was going. Doubt he'll try that again.
I didn't think we looked great in the second half. We seemed to lack energy. It sounds like we were better in the first half, and created plenty of chances.
Still, I'm not going to argue with the results. Top half finish still possible!

Don't get too excited .... CBT has probably borrowed Danny Haynes' cheesestraw hamstringskillerandflash said:Really looking forward to CBT next season after a full summer and preseason with us.

We played better because the opposition were ridiculously poor. As others have said I hope TS isnt looking at the last 3 results and those that I'm sure will come before the end of the season when we play the other poor teams and thinks he has a promotion squad that just had a bad run. Without a clear out and some decent acquisitions mid table is where we will find ourselves again next season2

And we are playing Doncaster, Gillingham and the like, not Wigan, Oxford and MK Dons.RonnieMoore said:

The fixtures have, and won't have, no effect on where we finish in the end but they have made it more of a feast or famine season.3 -
Well played Jacko. Must have been hard when we were getting turned over amid a raft of injuries, and to see our slim play off chances slip away.
But he stuck with it and is now getting the rewards. I really believe he’ll take us to where we all want to go.5 -
I thought Doncaster looked at rock bottom sadly for them and we did our very best to give them something which they were too crap to take. A rubbish game and performance and we were lucky we were playing them.2

We did play Wigan, Oxford and MKD with several key players missing - and no strikers.Cafc43v3r said:

Loss of confidence caused by losing to 6 successive promotion chasing sides did the rest.
You just can't factor in circumstance like that. It would kill the form of any side in this division.

My Xmas present Charlton TV has run out now, so according to Muphy's law ,Charlton will go on a winning streak. But this (Charlton Tv) thing has wetted my appetite, and with the proviso of a prudent 'common sense' ,dip into the Summer transfer market. i'l go all the way with a full subscription next season.--Why not start with, Marko Tillio, of Melbourne City and Australia. Our own C B T, but younger and better -Watch this space1

I really wanted him to be successful but to be honest I have written him off as a 1 trick pony devoid of ideas or guile1
