Ffs. That’s a ridiculous comparison. I can find dozens of pubs that I prefer to any Spoons. I can’t do that with a football club I’ve supported  since 1967. I can’t just decide I’ll go to Palace or Millwall instead of Charlton because I don’t like the owner.

I’m not going to Spoons @ElfsborgAddick. Get over it.
I bet you'd go if the beer was free B)

But are the beers cold before they go into the bucket? Otherwise they won't chill.

In fairness, that’s quite a big pint. I got served a pint of Camden Hells in a branded glass recently and it was tiny.

Sounds strange to say that is reasonable for a Neck oil.

A PUB is selling Britain’s cheapest pint at just £1.80 — the average price in 1997.

I was at a gig at the weekend, it was £5 for a coffee. Gawping at the five pound pint seems so distant.

Plenty of pubs down here in Cornwall selling it - average £4.30-60 per pint.

The last pints I bought prior to going on holiday were £4.40 in the Dog and Bell, £4.50 for Guinness in Hardys and something like £6.70 for Meantime IPA keg in the Fans’ Bar.

I drink cask ale locally in Twickenham and, depending upon the strength, it’s usually around £5 or £5.20.

I've been going to a really nice pub near my house since I moved in two years ago, spending £6-£7 on a pint each time. Moving next week. Only just realised set foot in the Wetherspoons last week and discovered it's a really nice pub and had three of my favourite beers - charging £4 tops. Feel like such a fool.

Yeah but you have to go to Blackpool. I'd rather pay through the nose than go there

As a student in Southampton in the Mid 90's, the famous Clowns and Jesters did 50p pints every Monday.

I'm gladdened to hear that 30 years later its still £1 a pint.

Clowns was the "wine bar" upstairs and Jesters was the night club downstairs (although quite how the stairs passed any fire regulations I'll never know).

Even during the height of summer, when it hadn't rained for months, you would somehow stagger out of Jesters with trousers covered in mud.

A pint of Guinness and a large white wine spritzer = £16.50.

It's a lot cheaper leaving the lady wife at home I have recently realised.
