I'm not saying he's involved in the day to day running of the Club and is necessarily an expert in this field himself, but he'll probably know where to direct TS should the Sandgaard's seek his advice. I doubt they'd be 'winging it' as it were.
Wonder why he's still listed as being in post on the OS....

It’s a clusterfuck and has been so since the Danish egomaniac walked through the door.
As soon as he got that fucking guitar out I knew we were in trouble.
I am losing interest by the minute in the club, it just doesn’t feel like it belongs to us any longer with all this madness behind the scenes.
Anyone who can’t see what’s going on right now at the club is simply in denial.
Why can’t we just have a normal fucking owner?29 -

If they have 2+ years service. But I can’t see how he could get away with sacking the fan liaison officer in order to make the role unpaid. The EFL wouldn’t accept someone doing it as a hobby type thing.0 -

Difficult without more information & context to know precisely what to make of this, but there’s something of a night of the long knives feel about it.0

After today for anyone working at the football club, my guess they would be now more concerned what’s next and if their job is the next to go0

However for me personally, with the appointment of Garner, this is probably the most excited I’ve been going into a new season at this juncture in a while. This could of course all go in the gutter if we don’t continue to get some decent bodies through the door - but it does at the moment feel like recruitment mistakes of the past have been rectified and we have a clear plan that we are working towards.
The possibility of seeing a dynamic, forward thinking, attacking Charlton far outweighs some shoddy shenanigans going on with the commercial behind the scenes side of the club (stuff which as an average fan I feel wouldn’t even be recognisable to me on the most part if I didn’t go on social media).

The EFL wouldn’t accept someone doing it as a hobby type thing.I assume the restructured team will see this assigned to someone else.Let’s face it HR can organise this to suit them. It happens everywhere. But what we don’t yet know is what TS has told the affected teams and how he intends to reorganise.Maybe as blunt as not using as many staff as planned and scaling back. He may have jettisoned whatever Jockat set up.It’s conjecture based on limited information.1 -

No let's not. Why does it have to be so binary.
I've given two examples of normal chairmen who run their clubs sensibly and successfully above in Berylson and Parish.
It doesn't have to be a choice between scum like ESI and the other circuses that have got their hands on our club over the past decade and what would pass as normal owners.17 -

They, and the additional players we bring in under Garner may get us promoted, but I need to see it now before I believe it. The last 2 years have been toilet. Granted, TS inherited a shit show, and the amount of money he’s stuck in is very generous. But I think that we have ongoing issues on the non playing side of the club that keep cropping up, we have an uncertain future on the playing side, albeit one that could possibly turn into dynamic, forward thinking, attacking football and I don’t think the 2 are a good combo for success19 -

Let's face it re our signings so far there may be one, maybe two posters on here who actually know whether they are any good or not at this stage. Most views are based on mere speculation from reading stuff on the internet and catching the odd glimpse of them perhaps. And hope/ optimism.
Hopefully the players will do a good job and improve us but it feels a long long way from the Powell rebuild summer of 2011 and what followed that season at this stage.
Still not replaced Washington for starters and are weaker up front for it at present than how we ended last term.

Just over 4 weeks to go before the first game & our squad has hardly been improved. Unless either a seismic shift is made on recruitment& we suddenly bring in 3 or 4 quality additions or Garner somehow turns around a pitiful midfield into a goal scoring machine I fear the Championship may still be light years away.6 -
Those transfers are coming. You’re mad if you think that’s all we’re bringing in. Those are just the ones we’ve able get done early and having three new faces has us ahead of most of the competition at this stage.
Anyway, this isn’t the transfers thread but somehow it’s become the place for anyone who fancies a moan about anything to congregate for the day. We’ll see if that’s still the case tomorrow.18
