Not the most stellar year for Wimbers. Half the field decimated by injuries and Russia related bans. Despite which a Russian (to all intents and purposes) wins the womens’ and the two most detestable players on the planet reach the final of the men’s. Hopefully Kyrgios has a meltdown, questions the umpire’s parentage and provokes Novaxx into a fistfight resulting in the championship being declared null and void. I’ll be watching the golf.
Would be pretty funny if Djokovic, after getting level with Federer & Nadal, misses the next tournament, loses in the 2 after, then misses the US Open too.
If he spent more time focusing on his tennis and less time arguing with the world he might have actually won a slam by now. The talent is clearly there but his mindset is clearly what has prevented him from going from top 20 in the world to that next level.
How comes footballers can play in noise but tennis players can't? Noise doesn't seem to affect technically good players like messi, ronaldo ect.
A solo game versus a team game is very different. Not really a like for like...
Boxers and darts players handle it tbf
Tennis games have been known to go on for hours. Often 5-10 hours. Hearing the ball against the raquet and grass, plus the need to keep concentration during long periods are probably my guess.
One thing for sure, Kyrgios shouldn't be allowed to go on how he is, in respect to the opponent.
I feel like I do quite like Kyrgios for the amount he annoys the tennis purists and particularly the commentators. He's a dick, no question, and I'd hate to be an umpire with him around, but he winds everyone up by not being what people expect tennis players to be and I find that hilarious given there's no other situation where people expect the standard of human behaviour that's expected in tennis. If it wasn't for the domestic violence stuff I think I'd quite like him. Or maybe it's because Djokovic is just so unlikable

I don’t even have to think about this final.
Something I thought I’d never say 😞
Just a shame that Kyrgios is the opponent.
Ump: ”Which one?”
Nick: ”The one that looks like she’s had about 700 drinks bro”
Losing the game for the 2nd set from 0-40, and then losing that from 40-0 were both killers.
Can't see Kyrgios bellowing at his box like a petulant child and not want him to lose.
They seem such polar opposites
