Short post-match summary today.
A rampant Charlton looked good from the off, dominating in midfield. Plymouth found it tough to keep possession.
New loanee Jes -Sakyi provided the direct threat from the right. After 10 minutes his efforts proved fruitful when he swooped in at the far post to tap home from close range.
It wasn’t too long after when Stockley’s effort was kept off the line by a handball in the box. The player was sent off (probably, rather harshly) and Stockley dispatched the penalty to open his scoring tally. With Plymouth down to ten men, Charlton continued to dominate by moving the ball around quickly and making good use of the available space.
Up step Sean Clare with a rocket from 20 yards out. Wow!
3-0 first half.
Thankfully, there really weren’t many things to grumble about. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to keep a clean sheet. On 70 minutes, Plymouth found a small bit of joy on the break to claw one goal back. But Miles Leaburn, a late second half sub, had yet to make his mark, finding the net with a fantastic finish. Lastly, Charlie Kirk’s hard work paid off when he was rewarded with a well-earned goal.
Clayden deserves a special mention for his role at left back, combining well with Kirk.

So many plaudits for everyone tonight. Almost the perfect performance. Looking forward to what Garner has to say post-match.15

Very early in the season, and if we don’t pick up points this Saturday all of a sudden it does not seem all that rosey. But at the moment Ben Garner seems like some coach. Hopefully that performance will be a reality check for some people on how we are progressing on the footballing side (although it’s been clear since day one of pre season).10

Well, that was enjoyable. So pleased for Stockley, one of his best ever games for us. His hold play was brilliant tonight.Clare, Morgan, Dobson, JRS and Leaburn were all terrific.
Keep this going lads!!!21 -

Superb performance.
Rak-Sakyi looks like he'll be one of the best players in the division.
Morgan was superb.
Stockley put a great shift in.
So pleased for Kirk as well getting a goal. He certainly had his doubters but a lot of us knew there was a player there somewhere and i think we definitely need to keep him now.
And an absolute screamer from Clare as well.
What a night.12 -
Fantastic result and some of the football was a thing of beauty. Morgan had a stormer and his improvement is like signing a new player
Nice to see us spank a team with some quality goals9 -
That was enjoyable given the sort of displays we've seen on the pitch over the course of the last month.
It was a great spectacle for League One when it was 11v11, but thought we deserved the 3-0 score line come HT regardless of the individuals on the pitch - Nice to see Kirk getting his first goal for the club, and first since he lost his Dad, hopefully its a bit of a monkey off his back now, as the second half from him was the best we've seen all season.
Rak-Sakyi, as I've already said, is a Conor Gallagher type of loan signing - In an ideal world, we'll bring in another two players (one who can play CB, and LB if Clayden isn't up to it), and of course a Striker.
Was nice to see Leaburn back out wide again, for his development I feel he'll do better at the moment where he can cut in from out on the flank, rather than as someone who can replicate the work rate from Jayden.
You could say that Ben Garner has a headache ahead of Saturday...
I mean who does he pick between Kirk | CBT | Rak-Sakyi... I'd go for the latter two, but he's already got the rotation amongst the squad in a pretty comfortable place, so even if Kirk is dropped, it wont feel a slur against him.13 -

Best I've seen us play maybe, ever?!? Amazing.4

Most I have enjoyed a game of football in ages. Some of the football we played was brilliant. Barely a long ball all game. No player to criticise tonight. They all did their bit so well. Rak-Sakyi very impressive in work rate and decision making. Clayden great at left back. Morgan excellent. Dobson just being Dobson.16

This is where we double down and get our targets in the door, no mercy!
Great result tonight.5 -
Creative , imaginative, patient on occasions, incisive on others . Thought Jes- Sakyi looked a bit lightweight but can’t really moan with a debut goal . Very glad I got there albeit late - trains were shit
Superb team effort !6 -

Hate the word, but - Awesome2

Bit stunned by that. The best I’ve seen us play for years. Every player comfortable on the ball, a system and a raft of young players stepping up.
Biggest difference is Morgan though. He absolutely bossed that, then slotted in at right back and ran it from there. Great cross for Kirk’s goal - another highlight was Charlie getting up and running.
Payne is a class act and CM looks energetic.
So many positives. Getting a bit excited about this.
Garner could well be the real deal.18 -
I love Sean Clare. Best player on the pitch first half and everyone was exceptional20
-
Silence from the Stockley critics. The two wide boys have to score as well, Kirk could have two so could Rak-Sakyi. Excellent performance.8

Great win, promoted by Easter.7

This season's Player of the Year choice is going to be bloody difficult!7
