What a life she has lived. Hoping for some good news but all sounding a bit somber2

If it is how it appears then I hope the family make it in time, aside from being Queen and an amazing servant to this country IMHO, she's also a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.7

Didn't think that would happen until the moment if/when its announced she's passed.
A bit of a strange one for me until it is - them asking Nicholas Witchell for any updates for hours on end isn't going to add much, and it feels a bit crass having a sort of 'deadline day' waiting for news someone might die.
Afterwards, I'd expect nothing else, obviously.5 -
There was low black cloud of my view of London a little while before this announcement was made. It felt a bit depressing and ominous so I took a pic.I feel really sad at this news.10

NEW: Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are travelling to Balmoral Castle. They were supposed to be doing a charity event in London this evening.

I'm a fan of the Queen if not the institution and for me this decision to cancel programs and wear black and all that to be really distasteful. Unfortunately we are in an age when everything has to be 24 hour news and reaction, even when there is nothing to say. Frankly it's verging on goulish, like they want to put a countdown clock on it or something. Thing is, journalists have been rehearsing for this for years and years and they have all got excited.2

Got feeling it's already happened. All reporters wearing black & special news coverage2

I think she has already passed2

Doesn’t look good. Won’t be entirely unexpected but will be awful when it happens. Would imagine no one one here has known anything but QE heading the Royal Family and she’s overseen the country through so many historic events. Makes you realise how long she’s been Queen when you see her welcoming Liz Truss when she did the same to Churchill.15

This is terribly sad news, I hope her family are able to be with her if these are her final hours.
My best wishes and thoughts are with our Royal Family.0 -

Operation London Bridge above is the standard procedure - You'll notice that one of the actions is for the BBC to dress in black, once its happened - Of course because she's in Scotland; Operation Unicorn comes into effect.
