    That’s correct.

    Apparently Barnsley did it to us recently and announced a new signing at kick off. I think the idea was Peterborough was set up to play against a right-footed left back in Sess and this would give us some psychological edge  

    It will be announced in due course, but it is done

    Because if someone has told Swisdom, they've done it knowing that he wont go and blab, whenever he tells him what is happening inside the walls @ Charlton.

    If Swisdom or anyone else ITK ever betrays that confidentiality, the source themselves may get into trouble if known, or they may decide that the person posting the details on here cant be trusted.

    Not sure why we are going all cloak and dagger super spy secrecy over a signing that is already done and dusted but that's not Swisdom's fault.

    The idea to announce on the team sheet was to gain a slight edge on our opponents.  The club said they would announce later once people had calmed down from a wasted day.

    just be happy it’s a proper left footed left back who apparently had a decent first half a season.

    we are working to bring players in who will fit in. One is an attacker who can play as a #10 and a winger.  Exciting player but has had a slightly unfulfilling loan so needs a change of scenery and needs to take the plunge and get his mojo back.  That one is more hopeful than expecting but the person I spoke to was pretty hopeful…and excited by this potential signing.
    Possible this evening? Or tomorrow? Or waiting until Monday now?

    Would these be loans Swisdom? Sounds positive at least.

    not sure when it will be announced now.  Presumably the comms guys are travelling back so might wait a bit now.

    Don’t know how true these rumours are but us and Oxford are interested signing Burstow on loan from Chelsea. Would you lifers have him back in SE7?

    If we have signed a left back the holes in the squad that pissed me off at the end of the last window have been covered IMO. I actually think we have some more than decent players for the level but it is stupid to go into the season, at least past August, with the lack of cover we did. And we have paid the price for it. Any extras would be a bonus as far as I am concerened. Of course there is still time to open the holes up but the window so far has been satisfactory.

    Think it was rumoured in the summer we were interested in Anthony Scully. His time at Wigan has not gone to plan whatsoever. Would be nice if we were to reignite that interest and bring him in, especially if one or both of DJ and Kirk leave. Very good player at this level.
