He says that chalky is based on a old friend of his George Campbell to granny it off well I knew George & I never heard him or his brother Norman ever speak in a Jamaican accent
I would rather him come out & say that was considered funny back then & was a big part of his act3 -

You might not like him in the slightest, but he has entertained people on stage for 50 odd years. A job that 99.9% of people would absolutely be hopeless at.7 -
