Think Ladapo and Kanu need to be being rotated on starts. Ladapo hasn't played in ages and now is being started every game for the last 3. It won't end well.

Didn’t go but we are on a dire run, won once away all season and playing a team very strong at home.

take a point from that all day long and not too arsed what the performance may have been like.

Does it go down as an own goal?

May’s initial shot is on target, takes 2 deflections and goes in. I think it should be his goal
I was thinking this. The initial shot was definitely on target. Does two deflections make a difference? I don't think they do.
When the first deflection takes it away from goal I don't think May can claim it.

I agree & that's how you do your hamstrings.

Hector (pony), Leaburn, Aneke (broken), McGrandles (pony and broken), Fraser (lightweight and disinterested), Edun, Taylor (no idea we've hardly seen him) and Camara (see Taylor) all unavailable today. Too many for  squad of our size and too many potential game changers.
We're not missing much from them really
Miles probably won't recover in time to make a difference poor sod.
Edun is our only left back so will improve options compared to today
The rest are deadweight at best, just emblematic of the years of haphazard half-arsed recruitment, not the fault of the individuals (Fraser excepted)
Today's squad plus Edun is all we've got to work with to drop no lower than 20th at the end of April.
Do sleep well, don't have nightmares

Yes, the same old defensive frailties were there and yes, we still struggle to score without a proper strike partner for Alfie, but notwithstanding those long term issues, I thought things looked a little better today. The main improvement I think was that we never gave up on anything. Sure, we had some defensive lapses and we rode our luck big time but there were times when they looked certain to score but we still got bodies behind the ball. Last week, those situations would have been given up as lost causes, this week they weren't. In the second half we got the ball forward nice and quickly, there were some great moves with incisive passing, good movement off the ball and good control on it. Long may that continue. After looking like a rabbit in the headlights to gift them a goal, Jones actually looked very assured for the rest of the match. I'm hoping that retrieving the match after going one down will help boost his confidence. So much of this game is about what goes on in your head. If we can believe that going a goal down isn't a death knell, that's a huge step forward. So, well done to Curtis and the lads, let's see a few more improvements and a bit more confidence next time out and gradually we can turn things around. Finally, I've got to give a word of praise for May who absolutely worked his socks off and single handedly made that goal. Sadly I don't think he'll even be credited with the assist as is took two of their players to actually get the ball in the net, but that a great example of what you can achieve if you fight for every ball.

Is this the lowest (position wise) we've ever been at this time in the season ?  Obviously under Adkins we were in the bottom 4, but that was very early on in the season.

Also, have any other ex-Premier League sides ever got relegated into League Two without points deductions ?

Despite the loose and anxiety ridden 1st half, once the formation and gameplan was tweaked, might even have nicked the win.

Predictably, Calamity Jones performed his party trick, but put in a decent performance after that.
Let's hope confidence will be restored and it'll be a turning point for him.

Bakinson dropping deeper, Louis Watson as AM and Kanu coming on brought fresh energy and direction to our play - and we began to look a more balanced team again.

But most importantly, our mentality changed and we finished the game strongly.

CF seems like a decent man and I like him. Feels much more of a Charlton type than Adkins, Garner, Appleton and Holden.
Might be the Irish thing. We like a paddy.
    But…it’s about winning.
Think I’d still go for Rowett if possible. Or Jones. Not sure about any of the others

Jeez. There are so many people with an inflated viewcof our crap players.

Mcgrandles is so shit I’m surprised that he manages to tie up his laces.

It’s not like they’re in this league for fun

As for Aneke, what do you expect?
     He’s made of glass.

    Lol

We need to sign Maidstone Utd's goal keeper .
He was outstanding against Ilpwaich in the fa cup today.

How was Albie Morgan against us today?
  • Happy with the point of course but the reality is we're still a complete mess and on another day we'd have been 3-0 down at half time.

Last half an hour today we were much better but i think we're bang in trouble. A very tough run of games coming up, as well as all the sides below us having games in hand. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see us in the bottom 4 at the end of February.

Quite sad how bad things have got when the majority of us are delighted with a point at Blackpool that edges us closer to league one safety!

Feel like if Jones picks up form again the CF will have a lot to do with that. He just gets it and will really put the arm round ya and give you that self belief.

It's a good point and sounded like we finished well. Hopefully it's a platform to build on.

very pleased with that against a play off spot chasing team .. shows that hard work, organisation and determination WILL bring points
  • We stopped trying to play everything out from the defence today, particularly in the first half. Felt safer and we were not pressed into so many mistakes. Small steps.

    Peter Shirtliff is quality.
  • Very lucky to get a point. On a different day we would have got a stuffing. Can’t complain as we need points on the board. An awful lot to work on but there was plenty of fight and character shown today.

I've read that we could have been 3-0 at half time. But we wasn't!!!

just like we should have picked up wins against Cambridge and burton at home, port vale away and points against Bristol rovers and Northampton, but we didn't.

we drew 1-1 and that's all that matters now it's done

well at least we have signed AMB’s replacement already.

    Will take a point.

Remains to be seen if we can up our game in front of a raucous Valley or will co time to melt towards league two

He's always been a good listen, shame he can't feature more.
