    was down near Crediton, Devon at weekend for a wedding

    was pleasantly surprised at the prices at the wedding venue.
    3 pints and 3 large wines with soda came to £24

    Went to the Old Brewery in Greenwich on Saturday night. Pint of cider for me and a G&T for the missus - £16.05!

    If you're heading for Devon/Cornwall this summer and need a pit stop off the A303, you might try the Prince of Wales on Ham Hill.  Breathtaking views and £4.80 a pint for ciders and IPA

    Not the UK, but on Saturday I spent the most I've ever spent on a beer.

    USD20 for what wasn't even a pint in San Francisco Airport. That's nearly 16 quid!

    Airports are an absolute rip off wherever you go.
    Funnily enough not Paris, I had a delay and could get a pint of Kronenbourg (in a can) for 6 euros

    Would love to see the cost of a pint vs the average salary for the past 30-50 years. Feels like it's raised by way more than wages the past 5 years or so

    I paid 49 reais £7 in São Paulo airport 18 months ago.
    That was three times what you would normally pay in bars and restaurants here.

    A pint in Auckland Airport is pretty much the same as in a bar in central Auckland (NZ$13ish) which is approx 6 quid.

    I'd just got 'em in when we were joined by my mate's wife. 

    She wanted a glass of red wine so off I went to get it.  The pub was quite busy and when the barmaid returned with the drink I wasn't sure if I'd heard her correctly. 

    "Did you say ten pounds, seventy seven pence" I said - feeling rather elderly.  She said, "Yes".  I said "Flipping hell"



    OK ... I didn't say flipping  :|
