Unfortunate fall for Becky Downie on the Parallel Bars when she was looking very strong.
    A shame that.

Typical British girl, falling off bars...

My problem with baseball is there are too small a number of countries that are compeitive and it is basically a guaranteed gold for USA forever. Compare that to cricket where there are a large number of nations who can ultimately win it.

They are not as dominant on the international stage as people think. Japan won the most recent World Baseball Classic last year where the US arguably sent their strongest possible squad.

Of the five WBC finals, the 10 finalists have been Japan (3 times), USA, Puerto Rico (2 times each), South Korea, Cuba and Dominican Republic (once each). Semi finalists have included Mexico, the Netherlands and Venezuela.

Silver in the skeet shooting, seems like a controversial one.

How bad is that to lose it when you actually hit the disc. Piss poor that there isn't a review system

How can you have a sport where the target is fucking miles away and you can’t use technology to review 🤣

Rahm double bogey, who’s now two shots behind Fleetwood.

Only slight problem is Scheffler has come out of nowhere to tie for the lead.

Both on 18 under, Scheffler two holes to play and Fleetwood four holes to play.

    Fleetwood, Scheffler -18
    Matsuyama -17
    Rahm, Perez -16

The TV slow-mo “clearly” shows the clay breaking up….absolutely amazing that the technology at the event could not verify…..absolute organisation bollox, she was robbed!🤨
  • The level of the play in this tennis final is unbelievable. Every game no matter who is serving is a battle.

Over 2.5 hours and still in the second set.

Have the USA nicked our athletics kit?  Can't get used to this dark blue one.
we should stick with white with the red and blue stripe, you know where we are then. I wouldn't think theres a great replica kit market, so they should stick with a kit we can pick out in events.
This year's kit is awful! Apart from the strange colour, it's desperately dull looking too. Our kits have always been white, with blue and red on them, not plain dark blue.

I quite like the jacket/track top though

Interesting that our male gymnasts are competing in different colours, one in all over dark blue, one in a white vest with red shorts.

Amber Rutter was beaten in the shooting by two judges who should've gone to Specsavers.

She’s lived in Bolton since the age of 11. Mad that she’s been stuck in limbo since 2010.

Apparently the British want her to join their team, she told them she didn’t have a British passport. Surprised it wasn’t rush though just like Zola Budd many years ago.

Fleetwood hits a good tee shot on 16 - chance of a birdie…
  • Djokovic beats Alcaraz 7-6 7-6 in an epic match to win gold and complete the full set of 4 grand slams and Olympic gold.

37 years old, playing with a knee injury and went toe to toe for 3 hours with a 21 year old who would've blown every other player away today. Incredible performance.

For me that has sealed his place as the greatest tennis player of all time.

Really hoped Djokovic wouldn't win given he's a bellend, but fair play to him, he's an incredible player.

I wanted him to win to complete the set. Alcaraz will rule the world soon and will have 2-3 more attempts to win gold.

Not really. MLB won’t release their players
