A couple of quotes from Phil Parkinson.

"Charlton is a great club, it really is. It’s a fantastic stadium and when you get 20,000 plus in there, it creates a really good atmosphere, I'm excited because I know the lads will enjoy it,"

"I'm looking forward to going back there with our travelling army of fans. When someone told me the number of tickets we’d sold for the game all the way down in London I was shocked, it’s amazing."

I hope it is, it’s bad enough street stalls selling them, but the club.

Charlton fans: Our supporters are rubbish, never show up anymore

Also Charlton fans: Look at all these plastics, I prefer it when it's just the hardcore

The club literally can't win in some people's eyes. Some people like to be unhappy
If they are lapsed charlton fans, no problem, if they are tourists just there to gawp at the directors box incase deadpool turns up, then they can royally **** off

I mean they're aimed at the casual fan and not us.

But fucking hell are they embarrassing

Sometimes you have to say fair play to the marketing team and Charlie Methven. I can’t remember the last time we had a bumper crowd without having to give away 10,000 tickets.
Just seen the half and half scarfs and I now take all of this back.

    Methven out.

Yeah, but it’s revenue for the club so nothing to complain or comment about right?

If all this earns the club a massive amount of revenue from ticket sales / merchandise / food and drink then full speed ahead in my opinion.

Especially if a few enjoy seeing Charlton tonk Wrexham 7-0, and decide they want to come back in the future.

When Keith Peacock first visited the Valley (in the stands, as a youngster rather than as a player), wasnt it when we played Blackburn Rovers in a winner gets promoted game... We lost, and he felt so sorry for us, he decided to start supporting us? - I could have got that wrong as been a while since I've read his book.

The majority of us should be focused on one thing; coming away with three points.

Only way its truly going to fail off the pitch, is if we show ourselves up as a disorganised mess with day trippers leaving reviews, complaining about cost and wait times to get into the Ground / Purchasing things from the Club Shop / Getting Food & Drink - Thats where the club really cant afford to fail.

Still reckon we're hoping to appear on the relevant season of Welcome to Wrexham (tiny bit more exposure), with this one approach

I know I joked a while ago about this, but can’t believe they took me up on this one!

Can’t decide whether to get Rob or Ryan to sign it, if not is Golfie available? 😂
  • A video on only fans of me having a wank a shit in a half and half scarf could raise some dough for the club and increase sales , so all good

I read that as "I'd drown them".

They asked Derek Trotter if he was interested in a box load but he politely said no

they are tragic and we deserve all the piss taking that's gonna come our way for them
  • Just hope they do one for Crawley at home, as a memento of the day!
  • The foam hands and ‘leicester’ clappers they were going to put on shelves this afternoon are currently being burnt in the car park.
  • I'm struggling to find a positive spin for these scarves.

Absolutely tragic. We don't help ourselves sometimes do we
